Excellent. I have been playing around with Multi-Strand Star Knots for some time now and yet to find a beautiful way to terminate them. This is awesome. Thank you.
Imagine, the first person to tie this knot saw it in their head then worked it out. Amazing. Thankyou Mikko for showing how. It would be interesting to seee how you lay up your cordage.
Thank you. I have been trying to tie this knot for a couple days now and could not get it right. Now I feel silly because my error was so basic. I really do appreciate your videos. I have learned so much from them. Nice of you to pass on your knowledge to those of us trying to learn.
I had to wait to watch this tutorial and finally found time this Easter Sunday, and the opening music was just perfect, Amazing Grace. How wonderful is that!? Another great tutorial Mikko, and like Richard Oles, this is a marvelous way to terminate or continue on with more knots and hide the strand ends. I'll definitely be using this technique. Thank you for this... I'll be ordering some more of your cordage soon.
I've almost got the part up to the pulling the cords through the center...And it's only my first 10th try. : ) Making something so easy so difficult. Omg...
I don't know why this video came up, I must have clicked on it accidentally, but I ended up completely mesmerised! Thank you! As a paracord newbie I can't wait to do this. What's the spike thingy called?
I just discovered your channel becaue of someone in my Facebook paracord group. Your tutorials are wonderful. May I ask how much cord you used for each strand, here? It looks like about 2 feet (60cm). Thank you very much for doing these. : )
Oh wow! That’s beautiful! I can see so many uses for such a beautiful piece of art!
And your background music is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you.
Thanks for all the clear and concise videos. I was able to finally make a halfway decent Star Knot following your directions!

Welcome to the knotting community. The "thingy" would be a traditional marlinspike.

Thank you. Cord length depends of course on diameter but here I have 3,5mm hard laid cotton. 30cm (1 ft) should be just enough.
+mikko snellman Thank you. I managed one with some success already. Good tutorial! : )
mikko snellman, I was wondering myself... thanks for the reply
How many times did you tie this before you could do so without a reference? Recently discovered your channel and have enjoyed every video.
Just one step at the time and it doesn´t take too long.
What material this rope?
That would be my #10 (4.00mm) hard laid cotton.
Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhhh
Had to watch with the sound *OFF*
