      It varies. Most systems like that will take 2 to 4 hours depending on kitchen volume and the type of grease. Decide what you need to make per hour to be profitable per hour then multiply that by the number hours it will take to do the job. That will give you the price you need to charge.

      The downstream injector that sucks chemical from the bucket only works when the back pressure is lowered enough to activate it. By switching to the black "soap" tip on the gun, it has a bigger orifice, which in turn lowers the pressure and allows the downstream injector to pull chemical.

    Does the filters not get cleane? Or the wall?

      In the restaurant's that I have worked in the hood filters got pressure washed with a degreaser solution.

      Great Question! It all depends on what was agreed upon with the customer. Usually we do not clean the filters and deal solely with the exhaust fans, hoods, and ducts.

    Does one need to be licensed to do this and how consistent is it to get jobs ?

    • @Powerwash
      @Powerwash  Před rokem +1

      Great question! You technically do not need to get licensed, but this line of work has a lot of liabilities at a higher risk. Without the proper training, you could be putting yourself at risk. Getting certified will help with your credibility when bidding for jobs because it shows the client that you know what you are doing because your certification is through a credible source. We do the Phil Ackland certification at PowerWash Academy if you are considering getting certified. The number is 877-798-6722

      @@Powerwash thank you. I’ve worked for a hood exhaust cleaning company so I understand the job, never understood how to be allowed legally to perform such jobs as I understand there’s codes that should be followed to certify the cleaning to nfpa standards. Will look into it. Thank you.

      It's more sticky than regular grease and it likes to clump up as well hot water is definitely needed for it to get it all off
