I think the G30S is the last plan of the Indonesian communist party. But because their main plan for the coup was to form the 5th armed forces (filled with peasants and workers), they did not plan the G30S carefully.
Maybe President Soekarno himself had smelled a strange gesture from them, where the leader of the Indonesian communist party, D.N. Aidit always asked for the approval of the 5th armed forces. but was always refused.
From there it was seen where Soekarno with the Indonesian National party remained with Stalin while D.N. Aidit chose to be Mao Zedong's proxy. This is confirmed from Mao's conversation with Aidit to prepare the 5th armed forces thoroughly and Aidit is very sure Soekarno would agree, which the reality is always denied and sucks.
another thing that strengthens is the letters of Stalin-Aidit. Aidit asked for full support when he succeeded in arming the peasants and workers and then carrying out a revolution. But Stalin actually begged Aidit to obey the leader of the country president Soekarno and not to be childish, especially.. Indonesia is an archipelagic country.
      Poor Aidit. 🗿🗿🗿

But for whatever reason he did and lost with no trace.until a local farmer told he witnessed the death of it and who kill him at his farm.
Grandpa got mad but his wife manage to told him not to go because its a was trap. Which was true because in 60's most people in Indonesia blame each other for being a Communist in a name of revenge. So alot of innocence live were takenm And until now no one know where he is. But it assumed to be dead somewhere else. And left his 8 Yo kid who now still alive and tell the story about his father to me.

the September 30, 1965 movement [G30S 1965] became the dark history of the Indonesian state carried out by the Indonesian communist party [PKI]. The movement with the theme of kidnapping 7 generals, this general did not approve of the 5th batch. The Fifth Generation was intended as a new element of the defense and security of the Republic of Indonesia by the PKI itself. All of these generals were put into a hole called the crocodile hole, the whole body of this general was found on October 5, 1965. 7 General is :
    1. General Ahmad Yani
    2. Lieutenant General Soeprapto
    3. Lieutenant General Siswondo Parman
    4. Lieutenant General Mas Tirtodarmo Harjono
    5. Major General Donald Issac Pandjaitan
    6. Major General Soetojo Siswomihardjo
    7. First Lieutenant Pierre Tendean [Wrong target thought Abdoel Haris Nasution]

I doubt the First Malayan Emergency (1948-1960) was extended to Sarawak? I think is more like the second phase (1968-1990) of the communist insurgency in Malaysia that started to affect East Malaysia. The communist terrorists are also different to both places. In Penisular Malaysia was Malayan Communist Party (MCP) and for Sabah & Sarawak was North Kalimantan Communist Party (NKCP). These two parties were completely independent from each other and both have their own leadership.
Among these two, MCP is the most aggressive. They killed more people and they managed to assassinate high profile persons like British High Commissioner of Malaya- Sir Henry Gurney, Malaysia's third Chief Police -Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Bin Hashim and Perak state Chief of Police - Khoo Chong Kong. It was a dark period of our history but it manages to strenghten our special forces.
