Just 4 hangers for +/- 15 square meters? Is it enough?
I believe this is very old instruction manual for installing Casoline MF ceiling.
As I have noticed first MF7 main bar was even more than 1200 from the wall.
Especially when you are trying to fix 2 skins on the ceiling… if MF ceiling starting to fall, it falls as a full ceiling and videos which I seen are very dangerous… could lead to a death ☠️
Regarding boards direction - must be cross fix to MF5, and not along the top hats (MF5)
I can see that video done a while ago and as you aware drywall specs and details evaluate every year, a lot of specs which were using years ago - not accepted any more due to different reasons. 👌

Does this type of ceiling system provide good sound proofing for both airborne and impact sound transmission?
Yes it can provide good sound proofing if you use double plaster board together or sound proof plaster board. Please fill the gap with sound proof filler. On the floor please use thin sound proof mat under carpet. Hopefully it will pass the soundproof test.

we have ceiling gun to do it convwniently
Not the worst I've ever seen.
But....
1. 600mm is too far between fixings on your mf6a
2. Fix your mf7 to the wall or to the trim.
3. You need to properly level your mf7. Using your hangers as a guide will almost never work.
4. If this is in your home, I'd recommend using the tek screws rather than mf9 clips to secure the mf5 to the mf7. It's nothing structural, just that the clips can creak if theres slight movement or air conditioning in the house.
5. Always use 2 screws when fixing mf7 to hangers.
6. Always stagger your joints on mf7 & mf5. Never have them all in a line.
7. Boards always run across the mf5, never with it.
8. Never start with a cut board. Put a full sheet up, away from the wall, at a perfect 90° to the mf7.

The boards should run opposite way to the metal which he does not do on both layers.the boards tend to bow inbetween the studs doing it the way he has.
