      You are welcome. Nice to hear that video has given some information for you. This saw is good value for the money and very practical.

    My CK hand mitre saw is a train wreck for accuracy, the table isn’t milled square, the saw alignment both in the 99 and 45 degree cut positions isn’t accurate and to make it consistently bad, the guide rails are not perfectly perpendicular to the table. I’ve still managed to make mitred box corners with it, but it’s always a hassle and requires forced gluing. I’m going to try to finally calibrate it by shimming the guide arms and table, but because the preset locking positions aren’t right, even if you get the pivot angle correct, the locking screws are so bad, that the set up will move during sawing. I don’t have faith that a Nobex would be any better.

      Thank you. The brand is Ferax. It seems that there are many the same kind of saw out there with a different brand on it.

    Hi..all my cuts come at a consistent slight angle. Is it warped blade or some advice I can use to cut straight.

    • @trdiy9321
      @trdiy9321  Před 2 lety

      Hi, some blade might do that. I would check the blade angle first with the carpenter's square, and if it is out of square, then the miter saw needs re-calibration. If the blade is adjusted straight next, I will check the blade tension and all the possible loose connecting bolts. I hope that you will be able to adjust your saw to saw straight

      @@trdiy9321 almost all saws of this type will have appalling set up from new, check the cut on an accurately planed piece of scrap timber, then try to shim where you can, until it is acceptable. Nobex are supposed to be very precise, but you’ll have to be lucky to get a good unit. A mitre trimmer guillotine is the industry Gold standard.

    Can it cut aluminium and steel or I need a special blade for that!

      Hi and welcome to the channel. I have cut the steel tubing with a 2mm wall thickness (0.078") with the blade that comes with the saw. The cut was straight. You can't get the same accuracy with the hack saw.
