Create A Textured Wooden Bowl - Woodturning & Texturing

- In this video I create a textured wooden bowl from a previously turned and dried bowl blank. Using my grinder and carbide bit, I carefully create the texture around the top portion of the bowl being careful to make the pattern as tight as possible.
It can be a tricky form or shape to create as getting the balance between the top textured part and the bottom untextured part requires a bit of give and take to get right and aesthetically pleasing.
This bowl is coloured using spirit stain and then sealed with spray polyurethane. The timber I used is Australian Jacaranda, a beautiful timber but not without its characteristic flaws. I hope you like this video and if you have any questions or comments please leave them below.
Enjoy :)

So do I! Thank you :)
Dang I get that exact same finish with my burrs but I wish it was cleaner
Practise?
Great project! Are you using paint or dye?
Hi Jim, it's a dye/stain. Paint kind of softens the edges of the textures sometimes.
Thanks, I am going to give it a go and see what I can come up with.@@FromASeed
