Nah, FaZe battle with C9 is legendary. They walked it out like gentleman, putting a great fight. C9 also was in their own nation, it's a home advantage.
what you fail to understand is that it takes two legends to make a clip this great.
I think one of the things that doesn’t get acknowledged enough about the Faker vs Ryu out play is how much it takes 2 to tango. Both of these players were playing such an incredibly high level that it took Faker pulling out all of his mechanical genius (and let’s be real, atleast a little bit of luck) to create one of the greatest displays of mechanical skill ever. The reality is that if someone not as good as Ryu was in Ryu’s position, they would’ve also gotten clapped in a way thats not even memorable. It would just be Faker killing them without having to pull out all the stops the way he did here. The reality is that play is a testament to both of these player’s incredible skill as it couldn’t exist without the skills of either player being as high as they were

Faker didn't ruined Ryu's career, it was the caster who made "look at the moves, look af the cleanse" line.
We should also commend the "observer" for catching that moment as there's an on going 4 man push in the bottom lane and they manage to catch that short but iconic duel.

last time I was this early Ryu was still playing professionally
Ryu went on to play with H2K and I believe they played very solidly even at worlds, where they barely lost a very hard group. They also made semis at an IEM tournament. Unless you wanna say that anyone who doesn't win worlds has a bad career, I think there is a pretty good case to be made for Ryu's play even outside of Korea, after the Faker stuff happened. And I believe he was always very respected internationally and his skill was never truly questioned by the fans, even at the times of the Zed play. The memes were mostly focused around his salty face at the time.
