Exact same place I camped...Only I hung a hammock between the 2 trees at the top of the rise there and was almost literally right beside the water...loved it. White Springs tomorrow for you. Oh, I didn't mention this before, any tree in the area you just went though and for a while yet that has a white ring around it, has a redheaded woodpecker nest in it. Sorry you didn't do the extra mile and out to Milton's Country Store.
@@probationtermination My Florida kin have a couple of cabins on the Suwannee River. We would pontoon up the Suwannee to the Santa Fe River, and as far up the Ichetucknee as possible. I thought the springs along the Suwannee were pretty awesome.
In Florida, gators are commonplace. If you've been living here a long time you respect them, but don't really worry too much about them. Kinda line snakes. Just steer as clear from them as you can and they don't bother you.
While you're road walking, do you ever have anyone stop you and ask what you're doing out walking in the middle of nowhere? Haha. Oh, and never knew Florida had water flow like that. Wow.

And by the way. We Texans were amazed that the Floridians were actually skiing on the Suwannee with alligators sunning on the bank.

Yes, in rare occasion someone will stop and ask what we r doing, and ask if we need anything.
