Can you help me with unpredictable diarrhea ? Here's one example of what happened to me. I was at the mall shopping. I felt fine, but then without warning I felt queezy. Within 5 seconds I felt a small warm drip in my underwear. I rushed to the cashier and asked her if there was a restroom and she told me that she couldn't allow customers to use it. I begged her and she told me to go to the food court. 3 seconds later, I burst. I solid stream of liquid poo started pouring out, down both legs and out the bottom of my pants onto the carpet in the store. I could not stop it from coming out. She screamed at me so I ran out of the store, poop still running down my legs, and I left a trail. I ran all the way to the food court, leaving little globs all over the place. I ducked into a stall and wiped myself off the best I could and washed my jeans in a sink. I left my underwear on the floor and fled in shame. What causes such a massive flow of liquid poo with no warning ?

I have been diagnosed with IBS-D since 1992. I am on 2 different medications that have helped me to have a fairly normal life now. I have often wondered if there is a cure for this condition. I put myself on a Celiac diet to see if it would help. It didn't help me at all. In 2014 I came down with sepsis and was on life support for a while. When I recovered from Sepsis, I tried eating bread and other gluten items and found that I can tolerate any kind of food now. I still have diarrhea though. I think the number of antibiotics I was on, while in the hospital helped me. If there is a cure or any other new treatment, please let me know.
