He was hit by a bullet from the gun of the police.
The bullet penetrated his neck causing injury to his spine.
It was on 18 August 2010 at about 9pm while he was returning to Ibadan from a business trip to Lagos.
When the police team realized the damage done to Sunkanmi, they abandoned him and fled the scene in their patrol vehicle.
