Suni Lee’s style, strength, and grace really struck me at the Tokyo Olympics in the most positive way, and I was thrilled for her victory amidst the stress of Simone Biles’ unexpected and brave withdrawal from the team. I don’t follow WAG all year round but I am interested in the big meets, and it was heartbreaking to read about Lee’s kidney issues which kept her sidelined for Worlds. I’m really praying that her kidney issues can be dealt with to ensure that Lee has as healthy and functional daily life as can be achieved, bc kidney diseases are incredibly debilitating.
