    You guys are hilarious! I have many observations mostly positive some marginal some just shocked, But I think the one that stands out the most is invest in some "New" rear tires ~WoOP! Keep it 2 up all the best!

    Also had a torn MCL 7 weeks ago, it so slow to heal cause not much blood flowing there. By now it’s like 80 healed for me so expect 7~10 weeks for yours. The good news is started to ride after a month while still rehabilitating. Wish you a quick recovery old goaty.

      That sucks to hear man. Any injury that keeps you off the bike is no Bueno. Glad to hear you back riding even if just a little, while rehabilitating.

    So Schweet! Rode DV last spring solo.. heading back again in October. Gnarly place off pavement, I can hardly wait. This is a good reminder to NOT ride solo but I'm not getting any younger. Hope that shoulder is coming around. Thanks for the vids✌️

      Yeah DV is a pretty remote place. Not sure I would want to ride it solo but I also understand. None of us are getting any younger, got to ride when you can. Thanks for the well wishes.

    Nice production! Personally, I'd rather hear the bikes than listen to the music. What do you attribute all of the flats to?

    • @OldGoatsMoto
      @OldGoatsMoto  Před měsícem +1

      Thank you.
      Yeah there is always a balance between motor and music. I believe the first flat was because there was a standard tube in the tire and we were riding in some pretty sharp rocky terrain. Then we patched it and the patch didn’t hold like we had hoped. All part of the adventure.

    Sad to see DV has become a place to make noise on a dirt bike. Oh well.

    What about tubeless?

    • @OldGoatsMoto
      @OldGoatsMoto  Před měsícem

      Tubliss definitely could have helped. He was running heavy duty tubes and just found that rock or two that got the tube pinched. I’ve personally had a couple of issues running tubliss, so I don’t run them. I run ultra heavy duty tubes on my dual sport and Bibbs on my enduro.

    Ever consider using the outex tubeless conversion?

    • @OldGoatsMoto
      @OldGoatsMoto  Před měsícem

      I don’t think I’ve heard of Outex tubless. I’ve used Tubliss before.

      @@OldGoatsMoto outex is simpler than tubliss, no smaller bladder needed. Ive heard good things, thinking of trying it out.

      It also looks like from their website that it’s only for rims 2.5” and wider and only for rims with a safety bead. They also suggest not going below 25 psi. I think this is more for the larger ADV bikes rather than the smaller dual sports we ride. I love the idea tho. Thanks for sharing.

    • @Weltbummler23

      @@OldGoatsMoto 25psi! Dang, yeah i was considering it for a dr650, but i like to drop pressures to around 18psi on trails, will take another look before i pull the trigger. Didnt realize they didnt make setups for enduros, but worth the thought, sorry about that!

    • @OldGoatsMoto
      @OldGoatsMoto  Před měsícem

      Well it was my buddy who got injured not me and he actually wasn’t going fast. He came up to a ridge in the sand and knew he needed a little bit of speed to crest the lip of the dune and when he went over the top and landed on the other side the front tire stuck in the sand and pitched him off the bike and landed on his shoulder. Wasn’t doing anything crazy just an accident.

      @@OldGoatsMotoriding dirt bikes off-road isn’t exactly safe, but is a thrill and a fun challenge. Most backcountry sports including hiking, mountain biking cross country skiing are also risky, but allow inspirational adventure unlike anything else.

    SO WHEN DO YOU RIDE OFF ROAD AND NOT EXPECT INJURIES? ANY AND ALL INJURIES CAN BE EXPECTED AT ANY TIME. IT'S SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS TO GO OUT AND THINK THAT THERE ISN'T. THAT'S WHEN PEOPLE SUFFER GNARLY FATES.... MURPHY'S LAW. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. IT'S NOT IF YOU'RE GOING TO EAT IT, IT'S WHEN.

    • @OldGoatsMoto
      @OldGoatsMoto  Před měsícem +3

      Well I NEVER go out expecting injuries. It’s go out EXPECTING a good time with zero injuries. I know there is always a chance of injuries but I hope my years of riding and skill set will assist me in NOT getting hurt but sometimes accidents happen.
