Trying something different this time… I’ve heard about these AI covers using Hololive members’ voices going around, and so I wanted to try it out myself. For the record, these aren’t going to completely take over my channel or anything; at most, it’ll be a side series like with my mashups. I don’t want this to get in the way actual human musicians, including myself, from doing what they do. Art is fundamentally a human thing, after all.
Anyway, for a first attempt, this turned out better than I expected it to. I chose Afterlife because it fits both Kiara and Calli’s vocal style, is somewhat relevant to both Kiara and Calli’s lore, and is one of the few metal songs I like that has a good isolated vocal track publicly available. It’s not perfect, though if it was able to 100% accurately emulate their voices, we’d have much bigger problems on our hands.

Amazing job with the harmonies and dividing up the different parts.
It really sounded like they were trying the song in karaoke. 🤩
What was interesting to me:
While the program managed to produce to tone of Kiaras voice it somehow had a hard time with simulation of the way she sings. Her voice here sounded so soft that it was almost close to Mumeis voice. That's especially noticable when you listen to their Ghost Rule cover.
Could that be because the voice model might have a talking-only dataset?

Interesting... I wonder what else you'd make with AI? I have to say, I did not expect you of all people to make an AI cover until I remembered that your brand was... metal.

Truth be told, most of the songs I like enough to want to make these covers out of them don’t have any good enough isolated vocal tracks for it to work properly.
The only other ones I’m currently thinking about doing are IRyS singing Panic Attack by Dream Theater, Nerissa singing either Nightingale or 1985 by Haken, and a full HoloMyth cover of Enter Sandman.
