People say that RB2 needs 'Story mode'
To be honest, I already know the entire story, and most people have played at least 3 dbz game with a story. After having so much repeat of the story, I kinda like just having random challenges.
Seriously for me The fact that it has another mode instead of story mode is actually a positive.
Especially since RB1 Story is just cuscenes of them standing and moving their mouths. It is actually no different than in RB2 where they have roleplay fights in galaxy mode, but instead of standing and speaking in a cutscene they do it while fighting. RB1 story is like budokai tenkaichi, it's not anything like Infinite World, Budokai 1, or Burst limit where cutscenes had movie like value.
RB1 play out like budokai tenkaichi series. They just stand there with occasional attacks from ingame mechanics. It's nowhere near storymode cutscenes like budokai 1, burst limit, and ultimate tenkaichi that actually use the graphics engine to redo anime highlights.
SoulGamer its not about knowing the story...and about how you present the story to the player so that the same hype from watching the series can be experience through you....no dbz game has been able too do it pefectly(tho some are close)..the still add story mode until its been perfected
I see your point don’t get me wrong but I would’ve liked for it to be supplemented some how. Maybe a small compilation of what ifs that in total are about 20 or so hours worth of gameplay, even better if there’s branching paths that add replay ability and let us customize our characters stats and appearance
For the most part, if you play Raging Blast 1, you'll love it. If you play Raging Blast 2 after, you love it even more. If you play Raging Blast 2, then Raging Blast 1, Raging Blast 1 will feel stiff to you.
Facts
Yeah that's what I did. I played 2 first, then tried to play 1 and realized it felt a little clunky.
1 had a actual story mode, 2 had a better roster. 1 had better graphics. 2 had raging soul.
I only like Raging Blast 1 is because of the story. I didn't really like the Galaxy mode on RB2.
I agree
Raging blast one is better than raging blast two and here is my reasons why and some maybe many people may agree with me who are the OG Dragon Ball Z fans from the 90s
1. it was the last game that I remember when I first bought it that had the original PlayStation 3 logo before they replaced the short PS3 box. Lol. Which I like the original logo better.
2. The colors was more brighter and a lot more anime than raging blast two. Plus the button mechanics was very easy to understand and play compared raging blast 2.
3. The third and final one which is the most important of the all and this is where the 90s generation will agree with me. This was the very last game that all the original Dragon Ball Z Funimation voice actors who voices these characters. It was a Until Raging blast 2 They replace 75% of the voice actors into the Dragon Ball Z Kai voice actors with Dragon Ball Z Kai version suck ass. Lol the OG version was better and the ocean dub a.k.a. the Canadian dub.
Does anyone agree to my opinion? Lol.
@@vanikin4life what yo yapping colors in rb1 look washed off in rb2 they brighter
@@elamaneceroscuro maybe you should re look at the comparison side-by-side closely. The colors is brighter on raging blast one vs raging blast 2. Otherwise, you’re either color blind or blind
raging blast 1 it has graphics ands its so smooth
Ha you a lie
@@CallmeCalypso0219 nope raging blast 2 has that annoying ass shine on them that makes them look like they're made out of plastic just like in xenoverse
@@triplecrosscounter you're entitled to your opinion so no more arguing ,thank you for staying so calming and positive though
@@triplecrosscounter i felt this. The graphics in RB1 is anime accurate. Its amazing.
I think the original rb is better by far. First of all it has a story mode. Second, the plastic graphics of rb 2 look terrible compared to the more anime looking style of the original. And this is kinda small, bt I like being able to see what my character will look like in game from the character select screen. In rb 2, you can't see what your character's costume is until you're fighting. And what are the fighting improvements in rb 2 that make it better than the original. I liked te cancel system of the original way more
King Savage97 I agree. Galaxy Mode in Raging Blast 2 was atrocious as well, with many bullshit missions thrown in there to "spice it up" such as defeating three Androids while starting at 1 HP.Yes, you can use an item to make that effect go away, but the missions you have to beat in order to unlock said items are ridiculous, such as that one where Cell has to fight both Vegeta and Trunks and in order to get Seal Near Death Start II you have to get all perfect actions, which means a 20 Hit Combo while you realize how gifted the AI is in hand-to-hand combat and promptly kicks your ass.
***** A DBZ game doesn't necessarily have to have the official DBZ storyline to have a story mode. Dragon Ball Xenoverse is an excellent example of having a story mode without resorting to Goku v Frieza, Gohan v Cell, etc
***** Obvious fact: I never said Xenoverse had a completely original storyline. But you can't argue that it wasn't unique and largely different from the story mode of average DBZ games. It wasn't the same old thing over again. This shows that you can still have a story mode without resorting to the usual storyline
You are a lie
Not only that but Raging blast one is better than raging blast two and here is my reasons why and some maybe many people may agree with me who are the OG Dragon Ball Z fans from the 90s
1. it was the last game that I remember when I first bought it that had the original PlayStation 3 logo before they replaced the short PS3 box. Lol. Which I like the original logo better.

Raging Blast 1 I find has better customization for Custom Characters and it seems easier to unlock the items used for the Custom slots. RB2 has better items and more of them as well a larger selection of characters, but you have to do Galaxy Mode if you want to increase their power level so you can put stronger items onto the character. Honestly, I like both and still play both regularly.
1:30 Well, not exactly.I mean RB2 has some dialogue before a fight that is relevant to the manga/anime,most notabley the dialogue you get when you match Goku and saiyan saga Vegeta up.Also, the battles in galaxy mode have some relevance too.The boss battles are always battles that actually happen in DBZ and the team battles are often relevant,so galaxy mode isn't really completely random.
I agree for the most part, but on the graphics department, I actually think it's RB1, because it looks more like the anime :)
I like Raging Blast 2 because of the ultimate combo that all characters can do but just in different ways with different buttons
Raging soul combo in which I know ALL characters
Raging Blast 1 is way way better then Raging Blast 2. Raging blast 2 doesn't have story which is boring! And the only good thing about RB2 is the amount of characters. Overall RB1 is the best.
The only mistake I made a long time ago was getting raging blast 1 I love the game but one of my favorite characters isn't in it which is ultimate gohan
Same
Bro before 6 years i think we had a you tube too so serech " dbz rb 1 roster"
@@marianaxena117 lol I was a kid, I couldn’t buy my own games, didn’t have a phone or computer and I’m pretty sure I got the game a few years before making that comment
@@immortalredneck1259 ohh lol sorry
I like the solid attempt to fall on neither side thus keeping everyone happy when it seems to me like you wanna say RB2 is better.
I think raging blast 1 was better
I agree. Specifically I prefer the look of raging blast 1
One random complaint that I've always had about RB2 is how the changed the graphics. The character models have that gross, bulgy looking gradient on them, and I'll never understand why they decided to do that.
to me rb1 is better because i like the story mode but rb2 is one to play if you like the fights more than story
Raging Blast 1 had better gameplay. It was smoother and didn't have those weird-ass choppy angle changes that slowed the game down.
Thank You that i‘m not the Only One who Think That👍🏻.
till now the best story mode in a DBZ game is the one from DBZ Budokai 2, that J-RPG like map where you could choose your party before starting the chapter was really cool, and you dont need to do the exact same fights that you have already made in other DBZ story mode
There's one thing Raging Blast 1 will always dominate Raging Blast 2 in.
IT DOESN'T HAVE FUCKING NEAR DEATH MISSIONS.
Aren't there items to seal that?
I think a better question is why didn't they just combine both aspects into one game?! One has story, the other has better gameplay. Where's the compromise?! All RB2 needed was a story mode and it would have been perfect! Instead you're torn between these two games because of one or two differences.(Excluding extra characters.)
Galaxy mode can gives you new moves and costumes if you complete each little fight in each gaxley
Do you think I should buy RB2 even if already have RB1 ?
The last dbz I bought was Xenoverse, and yeah, it is cool for the "mmo" mode but not for the gameplay... And that's why I want to buy RB2...in 2016... x)
Sorry for my english btw
I like dragon ball z raging blast 1 better for singleplayer and what ifs however dragon ball z raging blast 2 is better for graphics and multiplayer so I say yeah if you want to get it you want my friend have a nice day heres my gamertag for xbox 360 for when I get back online if you wanna play. brettwise1234
Raging blast 1 had the character customization as well so you could put different skills and abilities and cosmetics on different characters. And that has a really good tetris-like block system to where you could only fit certain skills in the skills box if you had room for it. Being able to give Vegeta a red aura and have lightning surround Tien was really cool. Not sure why they took that out, more customization is always better
You can do that in both. You just have to earn the items
RB2 is bad, RB1 is better, because RB1 had really the Dragon Ball feeling, it really had me when those days when i was around 7, now im 13, RB1 had the most good storyline and other modes, unlike RB2 when there is no storyline and just a Galaxy Mode, im crazy about the other people care about graphics and characters, i only care for the gameplay and the storyline. So please comment sensefully.
I like RB2 better, but there's more cursing in RB1! :3
I like raging blast 1 better because in rraging blast 2 if you could go into raging soul mode just button mashing could win the fight. even without raging soul all you have to do is button mash. in raging blast 1 you actually need skill to use all of the cancels and combos
RB2 is more or less on the line for the people who have already read the manga, and have watched the anime ( Which is still awesome to watch) who are tired of the repeated stories. The gameplay tells the story, and the supers and ultimates just look nicer, especially Gokus kaioken movesets, as well as more team attacks.I mean do we honestly need a story mode after all this time my dbz fanz? If your new to dbz and know nothing about dbz, which I'm sure most people do when they buy the game, buy RB1 you'll be more satisfied ina nutshell.
I feel you inadvertently said which one was better. You may said one was not better than the other, but you said one had a better story mode and one had better gameplay. If you ask me, that basically said Raging Blast 2 is better, given at the end of the day, whenever I play any Dragon Ball Z game with friends, same with most people, we always jump into multiplayer. And if it plays better, well, there you have it.
Personally, if you are a huge fan of the series, buy Raging Blast for when it is just you and Raging Blast 2 for your friends. It is quite fitting in the names, really. "Raging Blast 1" play by yourself (one player), "Raging Blast 2" play with friends (two player). I feel like they planned this from the start, honestly.
I think raging blast 2 is better.
Stoner_Plays I disagree
Kiko Mills ok
I disagree. RB1 is better
@Sean Moses You can disagree with someone's opinion. What I believe you're trying to say is that an opinion can't be wrong.
Same
i just bought Rb1 and played it i have to give it a 8/10 for its story mod
But
Rb2 i give it a 9.5/10 because of its fighting style and its custom
Raging blast combat is easier and raging blast is challanging. Raging blast has more modes but raging blast 2 has more characters
Raging Blast 1 is better: Like
Raging Blast 2 is better: comment
I like them both the same
I feel like Raging Blast 2 is just a big DLC for RB1. Hopefully RB3 has the GT story and characters like in BT3
but i think RB1 is graphically much closer to the Show, and the Story mode is also far superior
Well, for me RB 1 felt tons more responsible, and the enemy didnt feel that overpowered, and it was more or less fair, but RB 2s difficulity level made me punch the wall, multiple times, I know RB 2 is good, deflecting is tons easier, Snap Charges are easy to pull off, but RB 1 has modes like Survival, that makes me like it, and the customization feels better in RB 1 too
Raging blast 1 better graphics, better customization
both are classic however i prefer dragon ball raging blast 1 better story mode db blast 1 had the awesome what if mode it had a better training mode more modes in general db raging blast 1 also had a better mini game in loading times and even though db raging blast 2 has more characters dragon ball raging blast 1 wins for having better single player and more variety overall
RIP punctuation
What about realms? Tournament? Or galaxy mode? Raging blast 2 honestly beats raging blast 1 in every way except story mode, but we already know the dbz story, and so many games repeat it, I prefer the incentive challanges to improve every single character in the game through their own list of challenges, also im guessing you dont even know about enhanced characters in raging blast 2 but they make it even better as well
If you want a story mode pick up Raging Blast 1
Basically, Raging Blast 2 is like the Xtreme Legends expansion of RB 1.
Budokai Tenkaichi 2 vs 3, the second entry for story mode and the third one for the gameplay and roster, it's almost the same discussion.
RB2 is better because I don't really care about story mode since I've seen dbz countless times. Plus it has better graphics, gamplay, and more fighters.
Mew2Prince rb2 gameplay is broken
@@supersaiyankb5779 explain?
RB1 has the superior soundtrack as well
raging blast 2 pissed me off because there was no story mode
Great video, if this was released today on modern YT it'd be like 15 minutes long and chock full of unnecessary filler.
I like db raging blast 1 and raging blast 2. Both are fun to play in my opinion.
Thank you. I have RB 2 and am debating on picking up RB 1 for $34. Looks like the deciding factor is if I want to experience the story mode
RB1 was more competitive. RB2 was but Rb1 was more. Now overall in terms of grading, RB2 is better.
But i like RB1 more than RB2 by a little because it is so fun.
P.S. I am one of the greatest at RB1.
Peace.
Sure your the greatest I'm a beast with Vegeta
+TUNA SUB you're
Raging Blast 2 has a lot more characters and the graphics are amazing.
AllenWalker do people still play raging blast 1 online
allsports100 Yes but not all that much
I never played RB1, though I doubt they will ever make a "perfect" Dragonball game just because as soon as they do. They can't really make any more and won't be able to make anymore money from the series.
you mean you never watch dragon ball but the rb make you get back to watch all its series wow you pretty amazing dude!
I used to love playing rb1 before i got rb2. Now it's hard to pick up the game.
RAGING BLAST 1 RAGING BLAST 1! I'm just going to be honest. I've seen 3 videos, they are amazing. I laugh and the fights are pretty legit (however quick) without commercials either XD. BUT SERIOUSLY! the way you play Raging Blast 1 its a lot more fun to watch since you get a ton more intense and it seems tougher, so it's like... (in my eyes) watching you play a more pro game that's tougher when I watch you play Raging Blast one XD (that's just my opinion!) like, seems like you gotta do more2win!
You sounded very excited 😆
I like 1 better
Now getting at least an S rank, that takes a MUCH LONGER time and extremely difficult.
Well, I am definetly in the top 10 for the RB1 players. I just never viewed myself as a God of RB1 or the best player though many speculate or have speculated that I am the God of RB1 or the best on RB1. What really bothered me on RB1 was the lack of combos you could create. Everyone had the same setup. What differentiated certain characters from one another really came down to the unblockables, signatures, supers & speed. RB2 to me had a much better and fluid fighting mechanic.
Sorry if I offended you, that was my little brother. I honestly DO like the classics better, but Raging Blast 1 and 2 are still in my top 10 DB/DBZ/DBGT games.
I wouldnt know cause I havnt even played Raging Blast 2 yet, still waiting for it to go dwn abit cheaper. I always liked the design of Raging Blast characters best to other DBZ games and it has a smoother gameplay too. Still quite challenging to play through, even on normal mode Ive found.
At this point I don't really need a story mode because after watching the series and playing the other games I know almost everything about the story and the lore. I also finished reading the manga too.
Dragonball without a revisited story mode Is Just like a casual fighting game
"really?
RB2 is a broken, glitchy mess where one person in the whole world can freeze the game at will"
Neat Solid State Scouter mix you've got over the video.
I would say that RB2 is better than RB1 overall, but it's much more personal preference than with most other comparisons I can think of.
personally i like RB1 more i feel as though i am better at RB1 than RB2 and i honestly hate galaxy mode mainly because of the missions where you have to kill people before you go out of raging soul or whatever its called also to me the game controls smoother in RB1 than in RB2 but still they are both ok games i just dont like RB2 all that much
Ssj3 Broly and Vegeta are in Raging Blast 1.
I had my doubts as wel but I must say that rb2 is better. After you have played story mode you will get bored soon with rb1. Rb2 has a lot of improvements and the awesome fighting improvements give you a better feeling of a Dbz character. Rb2 is by far the winner in my opinion.
I know, right? That fool is just a fanboy of RB2. Besides, RB1 is wayyy better in my opinion since it has a really good story mode. I mean what's the point of buying a game that has no story mode? Gameplay is just a part of the game. I'd get bored to death if I buy a game just to play versus mode every time.
ragin blast 1 have better graphics compared to the original anime
lol
I like RB1 the most because it had a story and cutseens and what ifs
Oh, it takes a LONG time, but it's possible.
This video helped me make my decision, even now in 2021. Thanks man 😊
Though the graphics in RB1
are better, I like RB2 better.
Why... besides the characters. Mine is both... they are even in my eyes. Budokai 3 had the amazing character list and gameplay, and Budokai 3 was amazing in general... and both are addicting.
I liked RB1 better with the gameplay felt more like BT3 while RB2 it changed a lil and wasnt fond of it
And don't forget the Rocky and Apollo moment you can do in the game if you both get the same amount of hits in the melee collision it will go in slow motion and you'll both punch each other and it'll cancel the damage
Not even close to being the God of RB1 though it's a pretty cool title to have. The gameplay did bother me to answer your question.
The games that cover the most story are, Infinite world, Tenkaichi 2, and tenaichi 3. If you enjoy cutscenes and mini games, go far infinite world. If you want somewhat Okay cutscenes and an indepth story go with tebkaichi 2. Tenkaichi 3 covers more ground however its no quite as in depth. Ultimate tenkaichi is good for a story as well, but it barely covers GT
I played the demos and RB2's A.I is so cheap they kept on doing the same combos and "leap-froging" was way overplayed and difficult.
Awesome Solid State Scouter remix in the background.
2 is way better but 1 has alot of shit that would go crazy
Both of them are good but i prefer Raging Blast 1 because i like story mode and im gonna get it soon
THE CAMERA! Oh dear god, the camera in RB1 is hilarious. It's like it was the first 3D game ever made, and they didn't know what to do with it. That being said, I think I prefer RB1.
Last thing aboout RB2 you said... eh... not really. I prefer RB1.
I'll agree w/ that, B3 & BT3 are the best.
Rb2 has better graphics to me. Rb1 has a story. Can't say about gameplay though cuz I never played rb1 but rb2 is my favorite dbz game
Rb1 has Combo Cancels.
Raging Blast 1 for graphic's an story mode. Also fun gameplay
Your favorite game doesn't have to be perfect. LOL
That is basically what he said in the video.
dragon ball raging blast is my favorite dragon ball z game my vote goes to dragon ball z raging blast 1 however dragon ball z raging blast 2 was good however rb1 singleplaer>rb2 singleplayer. round one rb1 wins. rb2 multiplayer >rb1 multiplayer round 2 rb2 wins. rb1 what ifs>rb2 what ifs round three rb1 wins knockout.
I like RB2 more because the gameplay its better and the music isnt annoying and have more and unique characters
Tenkaichi 2 will always be my favorite.
Raging blast one is better if you ask me. 2 improved very little while removing the good story. I definitely like more characters though
Fighting and canceling is nuts in Raging blast 2 and Raging soul combo!!!
My friend got 100 percent in galaxy mode most hardcore dbz fan ive ever met
you should do RB2 and BT3
I find the English voices of the characters much better in 2 than the ones they have in 1.
That's partially because RB2 limited the movement freedom and slowed down the cancel speed. Otherwise I thought RB2's follow-ups added some needed variety to RB1's system.
Limited the movement, how so?
@@windy3935 Nice profile picture! Seeing anything TWDG-related, especially Clementine, is always a welcome surprise to me.
@@windy3935 yeah, this is where I spotted you again, lol
With the addition of grab crashes, super/ultimate deflections and ground-to-air throws/attacks, Raging Blast 2 is better.
Deflections were in rb1.
I Like Raging Blast 1 Better because of the story
The generic dbz story...
I love Graphics as much as the next Gamer, but a storyline makes up a Game too. Without a Storyline, you'll probobly just play it untill you unlock all the characters, which is what I did.
The thing I hate about RB2 is that you can press X rapidly and win. Sometimes.
Raging Blast 2 is better than Raging Blast 1 in every way (in my opinion) but RB2's major flaw is the lack of a story mode but even then the pro's outweigh the con's
every game has its ups and down but there still reigns a better game when all set and done. so no matter whta you have a favorite
DBZRB2: Raditz,Napa, scouter vegeta vs frieza first form: in a flash back vegetas original plan was to keep fighting and conquering planets what if he stuck to the plan and never sent raditz to earth(keeping both him and napa alive) then rebeling against frieza
This.
BT3 is still the best, but between RB1 & 2, RB1 is the better game, less broken in terms of combat.
