      I personally remember the episode where they destroy the snake cristal and get infected with the remains of the cristals as one of the most horrifics...
      Flash trying to stay alive against his friends, wondering what was happening ... though we as the viewers obviously get the shot which makes it pretty clear at the beginning what happened... IT was a real drama would they come back ...

    Flash disappearing into the Speed Force was a very emotional scene. Also liked seeing how everyone mourned when Superman seemingly died. Love the DCAU Justice League!

    • @jonathancook7616
      @jonathancook7616 Před 4 lety +27

      The latter was definitely a very adult episode. You had Superman in a wasteland future with no access to his powers (due to Vandal Savage making the sun red) and trying to figure out how to survive. Only to come across Savage himself now toned down and into "a lot" of Self-Help Books. Side note: I always hated how CN treated DCAU Justice League as sometimes the stories were WAY better than some of the live-action CW series episodes.

    Good list, though in my personal opinion, the darkest moment/setup would definitely be from the episode Legends. Finding out the whimsical, Golden Age-like comic book world was really an alternate earth annihilated by nuclear war, the whole city was a realistic illusion created by a mutated psychic obsessed with his heroes (except the inhabitants, who are all forced to live 'happy' lives...imagine doing nothing but driving an ice cream truck for 50 years), and the superheroes the League meets are also themselves just illusions of heroes who long since died protecting the city from nuclear war, was just...wow. The ending was also heartbreaking yet triumphant, the illusory heroes living up to their own legends, taking down the psychic mutant orchestrating the whole thing even though it means they themselves disappear forever. I was pretty stunned when I first saw it.

    To me, the darkest moment is during one of the episode where a virus was released to the world, that targets human males and it is a 100% fatality rate. Which was cause by a amazon name Aresia to-in her mind-get rid of the evilness that is man’s world.
    This is incredibly dark because of the implications if wonder women & Hawkgirl didn’t stop Aresia in time and get the notes of a cure. I.E: The ultimately extinction of the human Race.

    I always thought in that episode where the Secret Society fights each other and Killer Frost instantly demonstrates loyalty to Luthor by freezing the losing supervillains to death was a really hardcore and quickly calculated multiple homicide. It was really the first character moment for Frost I ever saw in anything where I was like, I'm going to remember her. (Then the Flash show kind've made me want to forget her again, but that's just the shitty CW writing.)

You're right they are quite different versions from different universes. It's apples and oranges. I could like them both. But in this case, I like oranges and not apples. Also in this case, the apple is rotten. So it's simply one fruit that tastes good versus one that doesn't. (Flash lost me by season 5.)

Lex Luthor had her magical abilities act as an energy source in order to bring back Brainiac’s disintegrated body (who turned out to be Darkseid); however this acted as a live conduit and was extremely painful so that she was screaming all the time.
