I mean I like the low barrier to entry, but this isn’t WoW PvP. It’s a wow/pirate themed (which is fine) mini game.
I feel like their are so many avenues to explore with PvP that would benefit from the existing balancing efforts and gearing.

They already said they were adding stuff for pvp in the next expansion.

This is gonna be like Warzone. Battle Royal is separate from the main game itself while being in the game
Big thing for me is actually that you dont have to log in on wow to play this, proof that they can make a pvp mode without you logging in to wow but work off a client. Something they shouldve implemented for WoW years ago to reinvigorate pvp, and maybe to an extent the game itself. I just don't get why its limited time
Probably testing it to see how successful it is before they make their decision to implement it in the game permanently.
This give so many people to come back or gives them a reason to try it, this could even open the door for more modes! I am excited to see how it all turns out
I am both a PvE and PvP guy (Im not that good but I try in PvP). For wow to have a Battle Royale is a win in my book and thats coming from someone who mostly does M+ and raids. Very few times do I step into PvP but I think the Battle Royale will be something to look at as a stepping stone and learning curve for those that want to pvp. I like pvp even though I look at the ground most of the time since im landscaping but....I myself would like to earn my first PvP mount and elite armor. Yes, Ive played this game since its inception back in NOV of 2004 and YET to have a PvP elite armor or Mount so thats going on 20 years of no PvP mount or Elite gear....
Yeah agree I like PvP at max level , 90% world PvE questing , this Plunderstorm seriously looks like it should be a Console port too Xbox/PS/Nintendo. The UI looks perfect for it .

Should have made it where you could level your personal characters. It would have been a fun way to level while somewhat keeping the game together. As it is right now, the mode just separates the player base.
Blizzard port it too Consoles, look at the UI settings, looks like Smite or something the way it's layed out , they might as well give WoW a try on Xbox/PS/Nintendo

Disgusting amount of whiny babies crying about this. This is at the least a cool idea and should be given a shot before you whine at every single thing you think is not cool.
Well it's cool idea but more and more modes coming separate from Retail pvp , fewer and fewer people play retail pvp each month
While I'm glad they are trying new things and stepping out of the box, I'm sick of this cartoonie childrens game theme. I'm not surprised though, we went from devs who wore iron maiden t-shirts who were all about sweaty orcs killing humans to devs with blue hair and a gender confusion. Our game has been taken over and we have been pushed out as the target audience.

Why not just shove Hearthstone into the login or Warcraft Rumble? This has fk-all to do with WoW PvP, it's a completely separate game. It's literally Fortnite with WoW branding. Glad that you seem to be (excessively) hyped for this non-WoW game that my sub to WoW paid for, I'm less so. Edit: btw, I've played it already, this is not "pre-conditioned whining". It's not WoW PvP and has absolutely nothing to do with WoW PvP, which is the only reason I've stayed subbed for fifteen years. This video drips with paid-for shill vibes.

It's.....w/e. Fine if you like it but I am annoyed that it was labeled as the 10.2.6 patch....for DF and it has next to nothing to do with WoW and on top of that it was kept a big secret. It has the skin of WoW but it is not WoW. Also, lol "Don't want to make this PvP vs PvE" Spends the first 6 minutes bitching about PvE.
