I've had G305 for almost exactly a year, with no issues. The form factor is a bit small, but the price was right and so I got three of them (two for my kids and one for me). Last Thursday the double-click issue started happening on my mouse, while I was working and it got to a ridiculous point today (I'll need to check my kids' mice now that I think about it). Contacted Logitech support and after a lengthy troubleshooting session, which I've already done anyways, they're sending me a replacement (I was actually watching this video, while waiting for them to process the request, heh). They just asked for the serial number, so that was convenient, since there's no way I'd keep a mouse receipt for this long. Hopefully I won't have the same issue with the replacement after a year, but we'll see. This is new for me, since I've never had issues with Logitech hardware before.

I got this mouse in late 2019. It started showing double click issues in mid 2021. It got so bad that almost every click was a double click, so I got a replacement under warranty from their service center. However, to my surprise they told me that the replacement mouse will not extended warranty period even though it is a new one. So basically I had only around 3 months of warranty for the replacement.
Now the replacement mouse also has started double clicking randomly for past couple of months. I believe it will get worse as time progresses. And I am just a very casual gamer. I play for like couple of hours on weekends and during weekdays I don't even touch the mouse. It stays protected from dust.
I really liked this mouse. I initially thought maybe I was not careful with my first mouse and maybe that it why it is double clicking, but when the replacement one also started to show the same issue, I have to now believe that it is a common issue. I would not recommend anyone to buy this mouse. It is a really good mouse but it is not worth it if it just becomes an annoyance later on. There are already so many problems in life so why should anyone pay money to get more problems.

bought used g304 on early 2021 with a half price on it. Came to me with a good condition, better than I thought before. Later in mid 2022, I've changed the switches by myself to kailh silent because the default switches was so loud. Until now, kailh silent didnt dissappointed me and recently changed the battery to AAA battery. Have been using logtech mouse since the g602 came out, i rma-ed that mouse once in its 2 year cycle and it broke again then i bought another g602 and used it for another two years with 1 rma in between. Then i 'upgraded' to the G603 with lesser buttons, did not show any issue during next 2 years that i was using it. Then i figured that g604 was the successor for g602 then i bought that as a replacement. I rma-ed that last july as it was double clicking and now i gonna rma it again in this june as it showing the double clicking issues as well....
I took out my g603 recently for my work then out of a suddenly double click, triple clicking on all the button wow....
love logitech form factor hate the reliability of it but still cant let go of it. what a love-hate relationship.

I am using this mouse for almost 1.5years... clean mouse regularly so the mouse doesn't get shiny that quickly... Haven't seen the double click issue... Also, don't use Logitech software since I switch between office MacBook and personal pc quite a some time in a day, and cannot install these apps on office system without company approvals.. it works fine with 4 default dpi modes...
I love this mice so much that ready to buy the out of warranty mouse with double click issue just to practice mod... 😜😜

nah. Having used it I can vouch that I will never buy a logitech product ever again. the sheer amount of frustration this mouse has caused me is unimaginable
The mouse started double clicking not even 6 months in from a new purchase. It was impossible to draw or drag anything with the left click. even playing games was unbearable since it would double click when holding down left click thus canceling your hold. The first G304 I had even started to not register my clicks and it felt the mouse had insane levels of delay on the clicks.
Fast forward to me getting a warranty claim and a new g304. Would you look at that the same thing is happening again 6-7 months later and this time i was very conscious not to overly use the left click like a maniac in any games(e.g minecraft).
At this pricepoint i'd suggest getting a viper mini or the new cobra. It's wired but performs way better and supposedly doesn't show this godforsaken behaviour.
for people who are stuck with this mouse and the double clicking issue. Know that there is a way around the issue I found. Install logitech g hub and bind your primary click to your dpi button. It's not perfect but it works.

That's almost completely true. But there are a few exceptions to that. But I rarely spend that much on a mouse.

  • @WSS_the_OG

All three of my most recent Logitech mice (mouses?) had the double click / click and drag issues fairly early their lives, within the one year mark. These are the G305, G502, and the the older G300s. What each of these had in common were that their primary left and right buttons used the Chinese Omron switches. Thankfully, it's not that difficult the desolder and replace them with something like the Japanese Omron or Kailh 8.0 switches. I stick with Logitech because they provide "portable" versions of their software that allow things like firmware updates, and editing the onboard profiles without having to run G-Hub, and their sensors are good. Razer makes some nice mice (mouses?) too, but Razer Synapse software is horrible, so I avoid their peripherals due to that fact alone. Anyway, nice video. The only thing I'd add to it, if you ever revisit a Logitech mouse, is that you could mention that replacing the crappy Chinese Omron switches is an option for those who might be out of warranty.
