Thank you so much! Definitely try the Pale Flame set. It is so useful when fighting against both Andrius and Cyro Hypostatis, who are really immune to Cyro damage.
Yeah, it's actually a pretty good bow for Ganyu. Having +33% CRIT rate is nice, which allows you to use a good Wanderer's Troupe set with a CRIT damage circlet. As long as you don't go overboard with the CRIT rate, Polar Star is a very good option.

I really wanted to get free Yun Jin as well, but from what I've heard, I can only choose one free 4* Liyue character from an upcoming event, and I also want to get one more Xiangling to get her into C4. When ganyu came out I didn't think much about her character even though alot of bad reviews were made against her ex; cryo amber, she's trash etc I was quite new so every character looked good to me but at the time I really wanted venti resulting to me skipping 3 banners.. anyways I heard she was getting a re run so I managed to stack up to 11k primogems and mats for lvl 90 triple crowned ganyu in a short time. Sadly It's 50/50, so I hope I get her I'm extremely nervous 😓 UPDATE: lost the 50/50
Venti's a great character as well. He has an elemental burst that can suck up enemies in no time, making it very useful for crowd control. Also, good luck on the Ganyu rerun!
You still might get a chance even if you lose 50/50, during the duration of her banner there will be 13 free rolls and a couple more if you do your dailies. Plus you can buy more rolls since February is on the way from the shop.

I'm sorry to hear that. Banners in general are scams, so not everyone is going to get something that they want. Farming enough primogems takes so much time.

Polar Star isn't actually that bad! it's not quite as good as Amos' Bow,
but it's really good for melt teams, and it's the best for sub-DPS Ganyu.
I would love to pull for Amos' Bow during her banner,
but I don't want to risk myself getting the shitty spear.
