  • A lot of people have been asking me to create a video on how to root their specific device of choice. Whilst there isn't one universal method that works for all phones, there is kind of a common method. This video walks you through that exact process!

This fuse is checked by Knox and as such becomes completely disabled if the fuse is tripped. This is on stock software. Even if it's there, it won't work. An extra (probably unnecessary but still worth doing) tip, if you're going to flash your phone or work with ADB, I suggest using an extra cable that's only meant for flashing that way it's always ready to go and reliable. I found that I rarely have success with even having my phone show up in ADB if I use a cable that I also use to charge with. Nothing technical about it, just the fact that the more a cable is worn, the less reliable it will be for data transfer.

I'd just like to add that if you have a Chromebook with developer mode enabled, platform tools are built right in to the Chrome OS shell. You can access it by pressing CTRL+ALT+T then typing "shell" into the terminal. From here, you can use ADB and Fastboot commands to interface with your Android device. You might have to give it SuperUser permissions or add "sudo" at the beginning of some commands, but it's otherwise flawless. I use a Google Pixelbook as my main computer, so this makes tinkering with my Android devices ridiculously easy. No need to download anything in order to make it work.

So flashing patched boot.img from newer version to phone may end up with bootloop.. So always check if your phone running the latest version (if you download the latest version). Lol I just spent like hours trying to find a way to work this but I honestly can't
    I followed every step
    I researched
    Got the right information
    But still no dice
Idk maybe the phone I want to root just can't and I just wasted my time
But I really didn't know what I was doing
I just followed steps and I managed to unlock the bootloader but idk how to root it ( or is it already rooted? )
Doesn't seem to work through the computer I was using and phone methods just didn't work.
So I think I'm gonna quit for now
Maybe I'll get someone to teach me more about, unlocking, code cracking, and successful rebooting and rooting later
    But I'm just done now
    My brain hurts
I've been reading, copying, and watching videos of this material all day and I'm really tired xD
I just wanted to get some cheats for a videogame and then I got sent into this wild goose chase about roots... Which wasn't bad it was interesting but I think I just overworked myself to the point I no longer want to know about any of this for the rest of the day lol.
Anyway this vid actually helped me a lot
It got me pretty far, the rest was just gibberish to me and I couldn't go further cuz my brain got really tired, made it harder to think anything.
Anyway if someone can simplify the process a little bit about what I can do now that the bootloader is unlocked
I will happily read and give your suggestions a try... If it's within my reach I mean.

oh I'm sorry to interrupt I really like your setup and stuff but you're really incorrect about one thing you can root your phone without a computer all you do is download the original file the original firmware for whatever device and carrier that you have or unlocks is a backup as well as you download the rooted firmware and then you simply install the rooted firmware from your SD card using the one-click route method I've done it several times without a computer on all the Galaxy notes in the past one two and three I've done it Etc and that your phone if you do mess it up there's a difference nine times out of 10 if you've rude or flashed the wrong ROM it'll just be soft brick meaning when you plug it in the light still comes on as long as you do that you can simply upload the original firmware to from a computer you would have to do that or you can use external drive

I find it interesting that you always like to use Magisk to patch the stock boot image instead of flashing a new recovery like TWRP to flash the entire Magisk ZIP itself

    • @eeeemc
      @eeeemc Před 3 lety

By using MAGISK ONLY method, it will save you a lot of times when you need to re-root again the same device. Situation like you receive a system update and installed the update. Root is gone. All you need to do is download the ROM you just updated and patch the boot.img file to root the device again. TWRP is also good in terms of you are interested in trying different kinds of ROM which I'm not a big fan. I just need my device root and able to use TASKER.

If some one have the problem of bootloop can solve using the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img" where boot.img is the original firmware of your phone. You can find the original firmware on the official site of your phone.

Guys, this is just for those who don't have a PC. You CAN ROOT YOUR PHONE. All you need is another Android phone. Go to the Play Store and download an app called Bugjaegr. It allows you to run ADB Commands with another phone through an OTG cable. Just enter the commands as normal then! Ciao!

Be careful everyone please know that safetynet cannot be spoofed anymore on most devices(soon to be all devices) because it is now hardware based so if you don't pass safetynet there is most likely no way of passing now and you will have to remove root and re lock the bootloader if you need to pass for banking

Believe it or not, there is an app I used on my RCA tablet called kingroot (and also one called kingoroot) which "rooted" it without a PC. I say it in quotes because root checkers and apps that only worked with rooted phones really thought I was rooted, so I am guessing this app somehow tricked my tablet or the apps into thinking I was rooted. All you do in kingroot is click on some buttons and you are "rooted." However, it is VERY ad friendly and was very sketchy. Like for example, it put its own lockscreen on my tablet (which still worked) but I never thought much of it because I didn't care about my old tablet but it really didn't do anything to my tablet. No virus or anything. I haven't used the app since then so I don't know how it behaves now. I think it only works with old phones so if you have an old phone lying around and willing to risk it I recommend you install kingroot (or kingoroot) and use it. It might still work.
TL:DR There is an app called kingroot and another called kingoroot which I used on an old RCA tablet of mine and they both somehow "rooted" the tablet and it let me use apps and do things that you could only do when rooted. Root checkers also confirmed that I was rooted after the use of the apps. I think they only work for old phones though.

Not for all androids. But does good job with most popular phones.

4:32 I appreciate that you are not giving an extensive list of possible commands, but neither of those commands worked in my case. I'm trying to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ but I can't find anywhere on the internet with information about what command to type here. The command line just says "" and does not allow me to continue typing commands.
Does anyone know what command I should be using for a Samsung phone?

Xperia (Nowadays), Huawei (Honor also), BBK Group (except OnePlus) is very hard smartphone to have root access.
Because when user try to FORCE unlock bootloader, the device will hardbrick.
Thanks for Samsung with Exynos, it's still easy for root.

(I'm trying to root and find a stable ROM for 3-4 months, now, I came back to stock ROM (Marshmallow), but I can't root it, now...). Thank you!
