Hi, one of the things I will regret for the rest of my life is both my brother and I making fun of my mother when learning to play the guitar. I'm now 82 and working to learn the violin. I now appreciate all the support from my family. My daughter for my birthday will gift me your violin course. That's the kind of support I wish I had given to my mother.
I just want to say, I started playing violin in early 2022 by studying your videos. I bought an upgraded violin and confidently play the instrument, now over 25 songs from memory. Last Christmas my wife and our children went caroling while I played Christmas songs on the violin. It brings such joy to everyone. Your videos inspired and gave me the hope to each myself. And now, looking back, I want to say thank you for making it all possible.
I started taking lessons in July at the age of 47. Thankfully I can read sheet music but I have been getting frustrated and thinking of quitting. My teacher is in a band and he reminded me to just have fun with it. He’s been playing since he was 4 and he’s 47. I had to buy hypoallergenic rosin because I was having a reaction from the real rosin.
I went from not knowing anything songs to being able to play 12 little songs from the Suzuki book. I can also just play little pieces from songs. So I’m proud of myself for that. I do find my ADHD brain wants to rush rush rush. So I have to slow it down. Thank you for your videos. I just watched the one from 10yrs ago “top 10 most common violin mistakes”.
I shall keep going!!!
If someone could give the message to my left wrist to STAY STRAIGHT while I’m trying to play that would be awesome. So frustrating that it just wants to randomly bend like a spaghetti noodle despite my best efforts. Thank God my instructor is so patient. That and figuring out where to put my fingers on the strings is definitely a journey.

After 1 year of putting it off, I finally purchased your "1 - 30 Violin Course" a week ago. I really like the "Learn To Play Violin" book which is the second book as there is LOT of things that is covered to really solidify your theoretical knowledge which is to be expected so am enjoying it so far. Sight reading (a skill I feel like one must know) has NEVER been my strong point so I'll see how I get on once I reach that lesson.
Love your videos. I have not been practicing lately simply because i have been giving too much time to other activities. I wouldn't say i have given up. I love the sound and different tunes or melodies the violin can play and still wish to play my own songs one day.
I just got to give atleast 1hr to 1 1/2hr of practice a day rather than giving video games 90% of my time.

I have been playing violin for years, and I absolutely love it and I love all of your videos they have been really helpful. I have recently thought of taking up the cello. I love everything about it. The first couple of lessons I borrowed the cello from my teacher, but I’ve been thinking about purchasing my own so I can practice at home. What can you look for in purchasing your own instrument.

It’s alright to learn online if you want to make some sounds out of the violin, but if you want to “play” the violin please please please get in-person lessons with a qualified instructor! 🙏🙏🙏
There's a world of difference between picking out a few tunes and being able to play an instrument. Find yourself a good teacher.

How to convert Right Hundred Violin to Left Hundred Violin.
I mean I'm a left handed so how should I arrange the violin if I use the bow with my left hand and control the string with my right fingers?

Hi, yes I can see you have tried - the system is asking you to try a different card - but was not telling me why it was declined. This does happen and the information is rather generic at times, so they do not give us a reason. Try a different card, or paypal or google or apple pay.
