Not sure what that is supposed to mean; third rail gaps are not the fault of Bombardier......
But the trains before are designed so the spark is smaller.
Any train under heavy acceleration is going to cause third rail arcing, regardless of the design.

Remember going to visit an aunt in the Bronx with my parents and brother in the 70's.
I used to take the train from Atlantic Ave and walk down past Flatbush Ave and still beat the 3&4 trains then the 2&5 to Newkirk and Nostrand Ave. I miss this place and the memories.

Why is it happens?
Steve Parker ok ima see if i can put this into words. At the sides of trains “trucks” (just call them wheels) there are little plates that pick up power. Which they call foots. They pick up power from the 3rd rail and since the foot slipped off the end of a third rail right there it scraped and caused an electric shock. I hope this helps 🤘🏽

DeltaWave16b actually it’s because there’s a section gap in between the 3rd rails. The operator have the train in full power which creates that arcing you see

I'm always impressed by how long those trains actually are. In Switzerland, subways have at maximum only 4 cars, and that's in the only city that has a subway (with only 2 lines, one which is not a true subway line, more like a light rail line)
If you think these are long you should see Japan's or Amtrak

As someone who grew up in the Midwood section of Brooklyn and frequented the Newkirk Avenue station, it's still really weird for me to see B/N trains on what used to be the D/Q lines. But we already know how the story goes...changes in a New York minute!!!
I remember when it was the D and Q on the Brighton line. D was local and Q was Express. The B was on the West End line. The Q ended at Brighton beach and the B ended at stillwell.

You hear sparks because those are very old tracks The N and Q doesnt spark because it goes over those tracks everyday so of course something that is brand new will spark
