- Shaving off the beard I grew for 4 years. It was two feet long. This is a quick video of the transformation. It was a hard decision to make, but it was time. It was a bit of a surprise to see my face again! As I was growing it, I thoroughly enjoyed the reactions I received from strangers when they noticed it. Adults would stop me all the time to talk to me about it, and children would stare. There's a lot of pictures out there with my beard and me in them. :-) If you look up "majestic long beard" or "long red beard" in Pinterest, you may just find me!

Shaved mine just about 15 months ago. It was falling out after surgery. 3 months into growing it back! Great video. Hope to see you grow it back too!

If the nerves and emotions didn't show, know that they were definately there. It took me a couple months and 3 serious attempts to finally put those clippers to my face.
The emotion was definitely present. He had to take deep breaths and intentionally work up the nerve at the start; I could see it.

My beards have never been anywhere as magnificent as this, but I can say from experience that: 1) You can’t help but unconsciously touch and stroke your own facial hair like this, and 2) It’s a new and surprising experience when it’s long enough to feel it moving in the wind.

Wow...I'm conflicted, that was an incredible beard, better than many you see in competitions. Not many people can grow a beard like that, hell most will reach terminal length long before 24" and those that don't will be really wispy at the bottom, which yours was not. With that said, you look fantastic without the beard as well, many that shave monster beards off don't look very good when they are done and instantly regret it but you might actually look better without one or just a short business beard.....so I imagine that must have been an extremely tough call....to shave or not to shave.

No, especially those that only knew me with a long beard. It's been fun watching people stare at me, trying to reprogram their minds with what I look like. LOL.
Tbh brutha that’s one epic BADASS beard. I’m growing a beard myself. I currently have a patchy beard but my goal is to have a better, healthy, thicker, stronger, full and long beard to the bottom of my stomach. I have my own beard care routine which is detangling the beard with a wooden beard comb downwards, upwards and downwards once more, applying the beard oil onto the beard, brushing the beard with a boars bristle beard brush, applying the beard balm and brushing the beard with a hair brush to get the shape I want it in. I only wash my beard night time only on Monday’s, Thursday’s and Sunday’s. Washing the beard on a daily basis is not good for the beard because it damages the beard and strips all the natural oils out which is a bad thing

My big Bushy goatee was about that long before I had to cut it after getting into a fight and having some ripped out. I never felt the same again and I'm growing it back but not as long this time 😎. Great job by the way and good luck getting the stubble outta your shirt 👍😎

I did at first, but then learned it is easier to comb them down when they are longer.

My heart rate and body temp went up and I was sweating watching! Mine went terminal at approx. 14" - not quite ready to see MY face!!
I hope you enjoyed the rush! Terminal length - a topic I spoke with many about - I noticed my beard starting to slow down in growth rate, but I don't believe I reached its terminal length.
