As always, Thanks for sharing . It was interesting what Sharon was saying about getting fed up with food. I have a friend who swops from one diet to the other to stop the monotony and keep her interested. She rotates carnivore, keto and calorie controlled. So perhaps it’s not a bad idea if it suits you to do that. You are right Martin about who funds the research!
Hi Martin & Sharon, I've just turned 63 and like Martin I have some similar life style issues to deal with. I have decided to experiment somewhat to try and cut down with processed foods and carbs. Just been shopping and bought some steaks, salmon and eggs. I have also started using the Huel Daily Greens drink packed with vitamins and minerals, micro nutrients etc. Thanks for giving me the incentive to try and get more healthy. Cheers! 👀👍

Martin & Sharon, give the diet a go but I’m not convinced. Please be careful and by the sounds of things you are trying it and seeing how things go, which is sensible.
Fruit & Vegetables do provide nutrients and fibre that are extremely useful. A balanced healthy diet is my advice. But I’ll be interested to hear how you get on.

@@guitarmojoKebab meat isn't as processed as what people think nowadays. Although it has herbs & spices added to it, it doesn't have additives & preservatives which are the bad guys. It's usually lamb meat with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, oregano, cumin & coriander etc so a strict carnivore may not eat it, but it's not really processed & is ok to eat on its own occasionally. What does bump it up to being processed is the hot sauces & the pitta or naan breads.
@@Angel-002 absolute rubbish. It's not just lamb and spices, infact it is probably every other meat mushed together. Not here for an argument but honestly you are wrong in thinking that donner meat is not processed. Still love the channel by the way!
@@guitarmojo It used to be all sorts of crap in it, but if you go to a good reputable kebab place it is absolutely just lamb with the herbs & spices & the fat goes into it also. Do your research before trying to dismiss things. Years ago people joked it was made out of everything that was swept up off the floor!! Nowadays they have to reach certain standards by law (food hygiene standards etc) & if you go to a reputable restaurant or kebab shop they are 100% made from lamb & herbs & spices. That's why they also have to specify what meat it is made out of due to people's allergies etc. Most places do lamb & a separate chicken one as well as chicken tikka & chicken tandoori skewers etc. If where you get your kebab from it is "every other meat mushed together" then you need to report them as it's against food standard agency laws now.
PS. I like a good discussion, how else do we all learn new things🤷♀️
Also, I didn't eat donner meat for years because of all the stuff that went into it & it's only recently I've started to eat it, but only from certain restaurants/takeaways near me. That's because I was told that they are not allowed to just put anything into it & have to meet standards & then I looked into it. I still wouldn't go to a greasy spoons place & just order one & there's a few places where I live that only have 1 or 2 star food hygiene rating so I wouldn't order from them anyway. There's a few Greek & Turkish places near me that are excellent though put the ingredients on their menus (I think to be extra cautious in case of allergies) 😋

I am 63 and IV just gone back to eating like we did in 60s and 70s also treats were only ever on a Saturday and no in between eating I remember the advert go to work on an egg I don't expect many kids today even have a boiled egg as life is all about cutting corners and for quickness any way great vlogs x

Hope you enjoyed the concert guys, Rick has a great voice. The carnivore diet sounds interesting. I love brisket pot roast seasoned with salt and pepper and served with a nice green salad, lettuce, spinach, onions and some watercress, and then i alternate the brisket with roast pork fillet, salmon fillets, lamb leg chops, lemon sole fish and canned tuna.
I hope you had a good time at the concert. I have been doing the Keto lifestyle for 17 months now, never hungry as you said. At the beginning I got tired of eating eggs but now I loved scrambled eggs topped with avocado with a sprinkling of Tajin. I make a crustless pizza in the air fryer by layering pepperoni, cheese and sauce and whatever other topping you like. Don't miss the crust at all. Make Chaffles to use in place of bread for sandwiches. Tonight I am having garlicky shrimp alfredo with hearts of palm angel hair. Anne

You mentioned you weren’t having processed food.
Kebab meat is processed isn’t it
Everything you buy from a shop will be processed in some sort of way but at least it is all meat and fat. Choices are limited when eating out.
Donner kebab isn't as processed as what people think nowadays. It is usually lamb meat with added herbs & spices so no additives or preservatives which are the bad guys. There's usually salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, garlic, cumin & coriander etc so although strict carnivore probably wouldn't eat it, it is not really processed either.

Hi folks loved the memories of Rick on this I was fan of his too first time round! I can totally relate with your food,health journey too! I'm 60 in Dec and have looked into mine & after years of taking thyroid,BP medication and feeling crap I decided to take control and ownership of my own health and not leave it with mainstream medical system. I have been off all the meds for over a year and a half now and stayed away from gp..I wouldn't say its been easy as I have had withdrawal issues big time but ppl need to stop being frightened! Turn your attention off the so called experts on the telly and get out live your lives and do what makes you happy! All these do gooders making comments about what's best or not best for other ppl need to keep quiet!!! Worry about themselves & stop being jealous of others who are doing there own thing!!! Please keep your content coming & don't give these clowns airtime as they seem to be upsetting and getting mentioned far too much on a lot of channels at the moment They suck the life out of great loving ppl like yourselves so please forget about them and just kick them off.No big number subscribers are worth keeping those who slag you off! Keep doing what your doing & those who are faithful will stay and support you all and your channels!! You are both looking well..Well Done ❤

I stayed in Nottingham about 12 years ago when I was on a training course with work. It must have been one of the hottest days of the year, the room had no Air con and was in the middle of the town.probably the noisiest and most uncomfortable nights sleep ever but I’m sure it’s a lovely place really 😊

Martin you are so right about this food we’re eating now. We are all getting fatter much fatter. Yet the food that’s put over to us to eat doesn’t seem to be doing any good. With me my brain has been so brainwashed with all info from weight watchers...slimming world...over many years, don’t eat this don’t eat that! Now it’s all so embedded In my brain, it stops me eating fatter meats and dairy. Etc. I’m so glad it’s working for you Martin, and long may it continue. I’m looking at different ways of eating again! You’ve inspired me. 👍

Wow ..that hotel on the inside looks like the hotel we go to when my husband and I want to have a nice romantic getaway. It's in Tempe, Arizona and it's called Tempe Mission palms hotel
It's right off of the walking path to many restaurants and it's a older hotel and it's very beautiful on the outside. Lots of greenery which we don't have. Mostly in Arizona and the desert and then when you go inside the valet people open the door for you and it's really magnificent. But it's so affordable and it's just beautiful.. it's nice to have a little getaway every now and then. Good for you both and Rick astley awesome🎉❤

You’re having as much luck with Google maps as 2 German Tourists over here in Australia, it took them off the main highway in the Outback and there vehicle got bogged and they had to walk 100 km til they found a little township. They were so lucky, lost for 7 days 😱😱
