*Edit* I removed the state.cfg file as it's causing some issues for people, the important tweaks here are to have triple buffer off, reduce buffer on, reflex on (if you have an Nvidia card) and open your copy in notepad and look for "mipBias" and change the value to 0

Excellent! My game didn't have the config file that had the HUD resize, so just placed this file in there and off we go. It's so much better having a bigger mini map.

Bro this helped so much went from 120 to 200-220 fps. had some hiccups with streched rez but figured it out tysm fam. Feels so responsive now.

when i try to play stretched like you; it doesn’t let me. the game resizes to a smaller window despite being in fullscreen
You have to set the scaling mode properly or else that will happen when you set a lower resolution
Hi I did this but I see no difference. Everything is still the same. Didnt have the unconfig file in the xdefiant folder so I just added yours (hope thats ok), but yeh I see no difference.

if you lose your old file, you dont have to reinstall the whole game. If the game notices upon launch that a cfg file is missing it will just create a new one for you. It will be default settings of course.
Really great video, only thing to note is when trying to play with a 1440p monitor in fullscreen it will force you into windowed instead, this can be fixed by using windowed fullscreen

Hey Clue, every time I enter the social section in XDefiant, my screen freezes, and I can't close the game or open Task Manager. What can I do?
Do you mean the in-game social tab or do you mean opening the connect overlay to invite people? You could try disabling dx12 to see if that will fix the issue
salute man, can i ask about uiconfig.cfg where you scale map.
what these means? (pvp header, pvp xpawards. xp bars) i tried play with scaling, positioning and it looks like nothing changed.
im just trying to find out if we can resize skulls with xp number after kills on right side to crosshair, or maybe move them further. (less screen clutter always appreciated)
The position values are no longer used so they don't do anything if you change them

naw this shits cracked bro, went from 145 fps in game to 205 with the same exact in game graphics settings. can see people better too. you a real one and this shit right here why we spend money on a PC cant have this on a console ;)

After more testing and over clocking my cpu better I be getting 225 in the firing range. I was LUCKY to touch 140 there before. I was getting like 125 fps on area before now I get like 185-205. I put my nvidia boi on (3060 12gb 5800x3d) and the results weren’t as good. He only picked up like 25 fps went from 100 to 125 and I had to go into the state folder and change the full screen settings it was BUGGING OUT when we drag and dropped. He likes it alot as well “the game looks way better”
Also my frame times went from 5.5-7 in game to 3.5-5 max.
@@TANGYHATCHY yeah the state.cfg is causing 99% of the issues ppl are having I think I'll remove it, there's only 1 tweak in there that isn't possible from within the games settings menu and it's not particularly important for performance
@@ClueFPS I would just edit it and change it to force full screen and maybe add a notes file to read with a tutorial on how to do windowed mode for the select few who use it. Just my 2c. Tbh seems to only effect nvidia users which is sadly the vast majority

I had two questions regarding this video.
1. Would it be difficult to add an FOV option in the JSON folder.
2. I saw a fps cap in the one of the JSON files when looking for the FOV option and it said it was at 60fps, did you change it to that and if so why?

The cap is turned off or you saw the refresh rate, which was changed to ensure wide compatibility, later in the guide I do mention you'll have to change this setting yourself after installing.
As for FOV you can use whichever you like, setting it in the config is unnecessary as you cannot exceed the maximum value of 120 that you can set in the in-game menu.
@@ClueFPS if you can find the fov in the config files you can make it higher you just right click file>properties>then check box read only.
I did this in halo, I just can’t find the fov in a config file.

I had already done 1 by 1 testing to get the lowest settings possible, but was missing the minimap cfg, so thank you.
So strange how turning any shadows off makes the map either full dark or full white.
Same with indoor setting
why do i not have the Bc_GFX_uiconfig settings on my xdefiant?? I want to make my minimap bigger
you have to download it from the google drive that is in the pinned comment and drag it into documents > my games > xdefiant
It doesnt get created automaticly you just need to make your own and put in the command

@@ClueFPS I tried the cfg I got slightly more fps but loading screen is so slow and there is some stuttering in the game why ?
@@TAwNDurst the config does load your cpu a bit more so if you have a weaker cpu than gpu that could be a reason why
@@ClueFPS that what i thought, also i've notice some shimmering in the image, do you have any idea how to remove it ?
@TAwNDurst the shimmering is from removing the anti aliasing, the trade off is have the shimmer or a blurry image. Go into BC gfx and change taa value from 1 > 3 👍🏻
It gave me optimal Fps while in match got around 100 constant no fps drop but my ping also went over 100ms sometimes and the game kicks me cuz of poor connection speed.
What do i do?
The config doesn't do anything to your networking, that's purely a coincidence

It's normal for the game to crash on your first boot after installation, the 2nd boot will start up normally! If youre experiencing multiple crashes let me know 🫡

I’ve been playing on 1920 x 1440 and my games keeps full freezing in the middle of games . Any tips ?
@@LmaoRel try disabling dx12, you'll need to reboot your game after you change the setting
@@ClueFPS it was already disabled . It’s weird bc when I’m in the firing range I don’t crash . It’s only when I’m in games . And it’s not immediate it’s like halfway - towards the end of the match.

Love the clean look... and the minimap... tbh, i barely used it at all, cause it was so small... this was a great help.
Unfortunately they've restricted a lot the UI tweaks that used to be possible, minimap is one of the few that still works. If I learn of a new method to further tweak the UI I'll definitely make a video on it 👍🏻
My Xdefiant folder in documents does not exist, what should I do? Does it still exist?
It does still exist, 99% of people have it, dunno why a small amount of ppl do not. Sorry I can't help more
In my xdefiant file I don’t have gfx_uiconfig file . Is there anyway to get that ?
In the Google drive that I linked in the pinned comment, just download it and drag it into the folder with your other config files like I explained in the video.

Nope, been doing it all throughout closed testing, worse they would do is block modified versions of the config files to force everyone onto standard settings but no there's never a risk of getting banned for something like this

Delete it and click theres supposed to be reset to default button in the settings menu

If your graphics card supports it should run better in 99% of cases, try it out and see. For the 5 PCs this config was tested on before release we saw better fps and better frametime with dx12

All I did was copy this didnt change anything in the config, why im getting less than 100 fps? I got like 200 on medium and this switch it to low and its worse. I have a 3070, I already had that triple and reduce buffer stuff changed so its not that
I have a 3070 and get 300 fps with this config, reboot your PC and see if your FPS is still low.
Put the config file on “Read only” if you right click and hit properties is should be there
Unnecessary, the game has patched multiple times and configs don't reset, as well if you use a non native resolution you need to be able to change display mode to fix UI scaling bug and read only would stop you from being able to do that

@xTayySavv I already did all that testing for this video, maybe for you different settings will give better frames but I tested this on a couple PCs, it's the best FPS and Lowest Input Latency for most of the systems I tested on all with different combos of AMD/Intel/Nvidia parts

It uses the windows defaults for your monitor

My result and some other yt result has shown that having “reduced latency” and dx12 enabled can lower fps, amd for the reduced latency if u have it on with nvidia low latency it can cause stutter.
Raw fps isn't what is important here, I've tested both and frametime is drastically lower with those options enabled even though you get more frames with them off the difference is 40%~ higher avg frame time in my testing.
The feel of the input latency is dictated by the frametime so don't be mislead of shiny fps numbers 👍🏻
Ofc feel free to tweak the config to your liking if your goal is high fps and worse frames times that's your prerogative.
The config was tested on 5 different PC with all combos of AMD/Intel CPUs and AMD/Nvidia graphics cards and the results remain consistent across test cases.

@@marcom900for your machine maybe it's different but for me and everyone I got to test this gave much better input latency and frametime even though fps was a bit lower, but not by much tbh

I'm conflicted over this. Even if it wasn't an exploit, console can't do it, so it's an unfair advantagre, but it also is technically "in the game", and we all know that means it's legal (jk). I don't really care about the map, but i can't STAND fog in games. They overdo it, and it makes the colors look like shit. Pretty sure MW2 patched this out pretty quick, so it won't be an issue for long I expect.
Well I only play in PC lobbies because of ibmm so I don't really have any qualms about it but if you feel that way I do have some non config related settings guides 👍🏻

I had the problem that I only saw blue fog as the "hot shot". I reset the vignette option to "true" under bc gfx settings, which solved the problem. Thanks for the config 🫶
