    ABOUT US
We started this business to be able to provide quality Mid Century Seating but with an affordable price.
The Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman are furnishings made of molded plywood and leather, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Herman Miller furniture company. They are officially titled Eames Lounge (670) and Ottoman (671) and were released in 1956 after years of development by designers. It was the first chair that the Eameses designed for a high-end market. Examples of these furnishings are part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art.[1]
The Eames Lounge Chair first appeared on the Arlene Francis Home show broadcast on the NBC television network in the USA in 1956.[5][6] Immediately following the debut, Herman Miller launched an advertising campaign that highlighted the versatility of the chair. Print ads depicted the 670 in a Victorian parlor, occupied by a grandmother shelling peas on the front porch of an American Gothic style house, and in the middle of a sunny field of hay.
Since its introduction, the chair has been in continuous production by Herman Miller in America. Later, Vitra (in cooperation with the German furniture company Fritz Becker KG) began producing the chair for the European market. It was licensed in the UK for 10 years to Hille International LTD from 1957. Immediately following its release, other furniture companies began to copy the chair's design. Some made direct copies, others were merely influenced by the design. The former Plycraft Company issued dozens of chairs that were direct copies of or in-the-style-of the Eames 670. Later Chinese and European companies began making direct copies. However, Herman Miller and Vitra remain the only two companies to produce these chairs with the Eames name attached.
In 2006, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the chair, Herman Miller released models using a sustainable Palisander rosewood veneer. Expedition Money LLC

Did you guys really expect one for 200 dollars? They go everywhere from 600 to 2000 for decent replicas. For 200 you should have expected a GI-Joe sized eames chair.

Actually the eames lounge chair miniature model costs more than 200 dollars. I think it was around 300-400 dollars and that was around 10 years ago. I just checked the prices now it costs 1.1k for the miniature. The ones made by VItra, who is also authorised to manufacture the lounge chair.

Thank you! At least I’m not alone in concluding that this was a total scam. I had the EXACT same experience. So frustrating! I felt like such a fool because my first instinct was that it’s too good to be true. Should have listened to my initial gut instinct. I hope I can get my $199 back.

Thanks for sharing Peter! We have a replica Eames desk chair an however it's "faux", it's served us well for years. Any recommendations in the NW burbs for places that do reuplhostery? We have a leather couch we got in Chiraq that's been very good to us an we've been thinking of refreshing the foam inside. Cutting apart a purple mattress MAY WORK, but we're also looking for better than a DIY solution too.

Original ones are upwards of $7K - $10K and even then, the rubber mounts MUST be replaced if the originals are still in place as aged ones tend to snap unexpectedly and there goes one side of the rear curved lower shell. Snap! My Aunt has one which she wanted to sell me for $1000 but it is snapped so I passed.
