Ray and Charles Eames are two of the most influential furniture designers of the 20th century. Their most recognizable piece, the Eames Lounge Chair, has become a symbol of mid century modern design and an icon of luxury furniture. But the Eames didn’t start at premium lounge chairs, rather, their first big venture was creating leg splints for the US Navy during WW2.
