Thanks for talking about MarionCounty,Ocala is in Marion County the best place to live I moved here from NY 19 years ago the best thing for me at that time was to get a condo,which I think was the best thing to do,I have no mortgage I pay a small association fee, and everything outside is taken care of, we also have a pool and a pool house, I love it her so come to Ocala and be safe.

1st home my guess $175k, price $170k
2nd home my guess $225k, price $240k
3rd home my guess $220k, price $210k
4th home my guess $215k, price $213k
My guesses were little high, except #2. On the taxes it is hard to compare to homes that were built 15-20 years ago and have carried Homestead exemptions from the year they were built and they first sold for 50 to 100k less. In December 2019 I paid $175k for home in Lake Diamond G&CC, with Homestead my 2020 taxes were $1820.
Same homes in Broward or Palm Beach counties would be twice as much.

This is simply not accurate.
I bought new home 2 years ago for $170k , the taxes are $2600 annually. Marion County has some of the highest property taxes i all of Fl. Gladly I am selling this property, keeping in mind that this now $280k property taxes will we’ll exceed $3,000 annually.
The Police rarely respond n well Code Enforcement is virtually non existent. in reality neither enforce any regulations until you just give up n sell your property.
If you like constant burning by your neighbors this is the place to be. i have bought and sold in excess of $8M in real estate. This is the worst area I’ve ever seen.

Most of south Florida or coast lands are more expensive. Ocala has no ocean or gulf beach.
Yes, most of the county is on well. But there is some county or city water too.

My husband used too live in Ocala in 1998 n 1999 he worked at a nursing home n he loved it but he said there wasnt much too do there but i know its changed so much. We are in Ohio now where im from n Ocala seems doable being cheaper. My hubby is awaiting a workers comp settlement this yr. So i might be in touch then lol. Ty so much!! Oh the USDA LOAN is that option for only people with great credit??
I'm in zip 34472, city water/sewer service lowest possible bill is $62, usually about $85 if lawn needs water. Electric bill (Duke Energy) less than water. Trash $54 every 4 months.

@@GreatExpectationsRealty thanks, our house is in the process of being sold, after the closing we are headed down, assume a requirement for a mortgage are jobs, how long must we hold a job to meet requirements? At that point we will look to buy as long as we find a good neighborhood..
