Ford just did an amazing job with these 5.0 Mustangs. It's crazy how these motors handle 2x+ the power with no issues. Proud owner of one here!
Of course it’s fun to drive a stock mustang! It’s a 400 plus horsepower v8 car right off the car lot. It’s a silly question.
Mustangs are the best feeling cars to drive no cap. Once you drive one, or even ride in one you can’t forget the feeling.
Just picked up an anniversary edition GT performance package and my brother has a badass R/T and he is hella jealous he said he would trade in a heartbeat. Its a dream to drive.
Agreed!
that’s more of a bmw thing but close
@@user-se4tk2jj8c well in my opinion, it is definitely fun when going fast, but also enjoyable when cruising. Having the premium option makes it so much better! Leather seats and a beautiful screen. It has been my daily driver in college (I dorm so I don’t drive much but still amazing). My brother has a 370z Nismo and it doesn’t compare. The mustang is big and comfortable. But driving long distance isn’t all too comfortable. I drove my mustang from LA to SF and my butt was hurting. Seats aren’t comfortable for long trips like that but driving around town is what it’s for. My dad owns an M4 and it’s awesome too, but idk a Mustang is something else. I have an emotional connection to mine. I can’t help but look over my shoulder to see the car when parking somewhere and hearing the American muscle V8 get to work is all too worth it for me.
@@user-se4tk2jj8c oh wow that’s crazy. My family originates from the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain but recently in Mexico. And yeah man, I’m a bit biased in my response, but I think the mustang is the way to go for the size and performance, such a beautiful car. but I’d say just listen to your heart. If you think you’d like the mx5, then go for it! I also recommend going on some forums/car groups for both the Mustang and mx5 so you get a good sense about what people think about them. And yeah it’s an interesting contrast between the s550 and mx5, but I’m guessing you have your reasoning. So I’d say just keep doing your research and go for the car that you have more of an emotional attraction too. Also, I would also recommend test driving both or renting them for a day or two and see what feels best for you. It’s a small investment into ensuring you get the car you want!!
"Is a stock mustang gt fun to drive?"
Of course!❤
"Gota take my glasses off kus im serious." I love it
17 to 20K for a GT Premium? Every 2015+ model GT I've looked at online was at least $24,000, even for the for the higher mileage ones.
Completely agree. I can't find any for that price that are nice.
Exactly 24k is usually the base model. It’s like 27k for a premium with decent miles
Second hand car pricing was worst during covid.
Carvana was buying mustangs at a higher price and a lot of owners happily let go of their cars with mark up. Not good to buy second hand performance cars at the moment.
@@jpogigtxcr1778 that is great information. That makes sense because carvana had a lot of boss and shelby mustang's for sale last month.
jpogi gtxcr1 so should I wait to get one till after Covid?
Great video! The fun factor of my 6-speed stock '19 Mustang GT is off the charts. Although I have the active valve exhaust, even the normal sound is pure muscle car from the 60's music. And the power and the roar as the revs climb past 5,000 and 6,000 rpm is a drug!
Love your videos. I have a Bullitt. Want to keep it stock. But I love your confidence in doing upgrades.
Thanks for all the Mustang information!
Man the aftermarket on this car is outrageous.
Strut Tower brace, K-member brace, bigger swaybars vertical links, cradle lockout kit. Mgw short throw shifter or even some good coilover will transform that car Just to start.
Bruh, I love my 18 GT! Literally had it a month on the day. I’m saving for the supercharger now! Dope channel also my guy.
dude! seeing your mom drive it was awesome! What a champ!
got my 2017 GT manual about two weeks ago... been driving in "normal"... Today i put in in "Sport +"... Now its the best option for driving... makes rev matching a breeze. Got a GT350 intake Mani and a CAI and tune ready to go after i get it paint corrected (paint chips) 90 day Carmax warranty
Looking to buy one soon. This comment it old and I would like to know how much you paid and how many miles it had. Just don’t know to pull the trigger on a car or wait.
I have a new GT Mustang
I think I’m older than your mom… But it was awesome to see her driving it and enjoying it....lol
My brother has a Wrx and modified the exhaust a lil and its beautiful pops and crack not super loud but has a rumble to it
I wanted to dance to Chill Rob-The Power when I got my GT. Lol! I started to learn manual on my other 2012 3.7 Mustang. After having it for a few years, I just wanted more. Great experience.
i've been itching to see more of your gc8 project, i'm checking your channel everyday hahah
That shifter looks cool af
I bought a leftover 2020 mustang GT 10 speed pp1 with black accent and active exhaust. I paid $41000, I love my mustang. This car is fast I have mine stocked.
Honestly a really good informational video
Shift knob check 🔥
You literally run the perfect channel I don’t get why you don’t have a bigger following yet. You’re truly a great teacher!
I love my 2018 6 Speed Mustang GT. It's slightly modded, but even straight up stock it's an absolute blast.
Its super fun stock. Mine is still stock. I just had to change the exhaust because the 2015-2017 stock exhaust is quiet.
I got mine a gt 2021 manual with performance package and I had a real blast driving it.
love your stuff man
Picking up a 2017 premium GT with 5,000 miles on Thursday, so hyped.
Man watching this video for the first time almost 2 years later, i wish you could get one for $20k. Pre pandemic prices sound lovely.
Yo, that was Burk and Guad? Let’s go. I’m in Mesa also. Love your Videos bro! 👌🏼
Hell yeah it's fun to drive! My 2020 GT puts a big grin on my face every day! 😃
I just got my 2020 gt last week and I can’t stop driving it😂
@@huntergowan699 I know right?! Man I love that car!
I like your mother reaction... respect!!!
100% agree. I've got a 2019 gt premium and it's the funnest car I've driven in my entire life. She handles like a dream with that performance package one 😎👍
I just got a 2020 gt premium with 401a package. I love it. I might keep it stock for a year or 2
I’m getting one ASAP
Yes is the answer , be great full for the things you have.
I think my 2002 V6 will full exhaust and bolt-ons is a blast! Can’t imagine this
I wish my mustang had nine-hundred thousand horsepower, lol 2:27
😂😂😂😂I heard it tooo
At this point I've seen tons of reviews on youtube and Mustang GT is highly praised for track use.
For example check savage geese, one of the reviewers owns a Mustang GT, tracks it and loves it.
ill never forget the one that got away, 2016 black gt premium/perf pack with recaros for 25k at 5k miles, it was gone the next day smh
I know your pain buddy 😕
What happened
Ford Mustang manual stood a while , press the clutch and the gas pedal, press start button count to 4 or 5 let of the gas pedal, thanks Ford really smart, spraying the cambers.
My experience with this-
I had the option of choosing a 2017 Mustang GT premium or a 2014 Mustang GT premium, and I went with the 2014 because I thought it was a better looking car. (Personally the 13-14’s are the best looking modern Mustangs)
Anyways- I’ve had it for a year now and it’s completely stock, and I’ve had a blast with it! They still have plenty of power and torque, you can do anything you want in a stock mustang. It’s the funnest car I’ve ever owned.
Have you taken your spring out of the clutch pedal yet? Also do you have some type of short throw shifter?
I've been looking at them for months. I decided that I want an ecoboost because gas mileage in Mustang form. This video has me rethinking that. I'm a JDM guy but they don't make anything that interests me. You've earned a subscriber.
I can get 30mpgs highway on my 2017 gt with 3.55 gears 6 speed
with a filter swap and axle backs.
S550 prices in my area (Southern California) is (not including salvage title or clapped out ones):
15-17 base GT - $20k-$22k
15-17 premium GT - $25-$28k
18-20 base GT - $28k-$30k
18-20 premium GT - $32-35k
The lower the price, the closer it is to 100k miles lol
Love my 2018 gt 10 speed, puts a smile on my face 😀
OMG I was in Mesa Arizona and I was going to Jollibee in Chandler and was looking for you but couldn’t find you maybe bad timing, but love your channel, maybe next time I’ll see you✌🏼
how did you do the audio for this? its so clear
Last one I drove was a new 2012 to check out the new coyote. Coming from a SBF fox body I didnt get far enough into the revs to have it really pull so I wasnt impressed. Now that I have come into a bit of money I am really considering somewhere between a 2018-2020. I want the 10spd with the digital dash. I drove a new BWM 3 series rental and man I got bit by the tech bug. The new cars now have some cool shit. As much as I would love to dump some more cash into my old foxbody, I am really wanting to try out a new one as the hype is incredible for these cars.
It sounds like you got bit by the bug as we used to say back in the 90's with our foxbodys. It was never fast enough and once you get a taste of that speed man you have no choice but to start tweeking it with this bolt on and that bolt on...lol.
You should try out the new Veloster N, just picked one up 4 days ago and it’s soo much fun.
My mustang is in the garage for the winter, im jealous of you right now..
I have 2017 GT Premium in Ingot Silver with just the power pack 2 and Ford Performance Sport Catback. I have kept the paint close to looking new as possible with the ceramic coat about 8 months after purchase. But I have just hit the 60K mile mark which pretty much makes it worth less than $25K😕
So Is it just a mustang thing that the car wines when you push in the clutch my buddy’s does the same thing
I watched all your focus st vids before buying one. Now i have one and my fiance and i decided that this spring we are going to look for a mustang gt. Guess who already owns one hahahaha.
What do you think about the Mach 1?
Where did you get your shift knob?
Man, this dude doesn't even have the performance package. Which handles even better. He would be blown away with the gt350 lol. The true track focused mustang.
I am late to the party but I just purchased a 2018 mustang GT with front end damage and after thrown about $4000 with a Parts add it she’s back to stock but that also gave me the opportunity to add a GT500 front end which looks amazing, my car also has performance level 1 with Brembo brakes. I also added an entire Recaro leather interior. And the car is truly a drivers car. I can’t afford a 911 yet so this will have to do lol.
I’m a Chevy guy and I was impressed driving a Mustang for the first time.
🐎 100% concur 🏁
If we’re talking about fun the first thing I did is make sure he had a manual gearbox🤤
How many miles did you buy it with?
Yes.
How much to upgrade from the M82
I havent watched it yet but i know the answer and i only have a v6, if i can have as much fun as i do with that then i know a gt would be fun
That same car in Puerto Rico still at 32k 😤
what tire setup did you get your mustang with?
would like to know how does the s550 handle with the stock 235/50R18 square setup out of the factory.
I like that meaty tire setup for our shitty roads. All EU spec mustangs come with the staggered 19s setup but there are US import cars with square 18s (just thinking of buying one)
I have a mustang ecoboost and I loved mine stock, especially coming from a civic, I’m pushing around 340 to the wheels now with a tune and bolt one and I love my car
How much did you pay ? I’m driving a 2013 civic and thinking about buying this car
@@GreyGooseNWO I forgot, at the time it was a 2019 eco boost premium. Might have been like 34k or a bit more, it only had like 2k miles on it
tbh u need to start making more vids on the stang and mod it.
Agreed
I can agree the sti is very underwhelming, I held off on flooring it for my break in period very anxiously waiting to put my foot down to wide open throttle, and when i did i was VERY disappointed. Was watching the rpms climb and was waiting for the dramatic turbo pull but did not get very much excitement.. next step, bolt ons with a pro tune. Hopefully that will scratch the itch
it will make you glad you bought the car! They need an intake, downpipe, and tune and you'll be like ahhh yes 👌🏻
My old STI (stock) was really only fun on backroads from 0-80, after that there's really nothing.
Where can I get that shift knob?😂
I thought these cars were known for being super tail happy once you start pushing them
Focus st needs a tune stock is “fun” but tuned is just better
about to get a 2020 gt, should I go with the active exhaust with a X pipe or should I go with a corsa or something else
I got the active exhaust and don’t regret it. Gonna go steeda x pipe and then eventually long tubes and keep factory active
Have they solved the MT82 transmission problems yet? For the new 2020 models?
What are the issues in the earlier models? Just so I know what to look for if I go for one
@@hyper_channel I don't really remember exactly. Try this search "mt82 transmission problems" on youtube and you can watch for yourself. I would have to watch them again in order to try and explain it. I believe it boiled down to many people needing a new transmission under warranty but it could be because they were always trying to shift fast and hard. Not sure.
GOAT
Camerons unite
It’s fun to drive till you want more then you stick a tune with E85 and can’t go back to stock or regular pump gas
Do u ever get the shift lockout
Just wondering because I'm looking into getting one 6speed and with the mt82 tranny 🤷♂️
Wait this was an actual question ? Lmao
2013-2014 gt 5.0 is the most funniest to drive cuz its so dangerous hahaha
Call me Captain Dangerous!
I wish they put the Tremec in this car and not the MT-82.
Is 460 HP fun?
I was seriously about to buy one but believe it or not I finally settled for a lowly ND Miata ....SUPER FUN! Recently I got after a mustang GT coming up the South road up Palomar montain .. I was dogging him in the tight turns but everytime there was the slightest straight away he pulled away ...I am pretty sure he badly wanted to lose me based on what I could see ...by the top he was a few turns ahead of me but always kept him in view when a view was possible...as impressive as the car was? I bet I had at least as much fun. ...just saying And here's the thing IF I had bought the GT? I would have spent a fortune on tires by now (As is I blow through the cheap miata tires in just a few thousand miles) and probably my license would would be in jeapoardy by now not to mention my insurance expense by now! If you want to have mega fun on a budget and maybe keep your license and insurance rates? MX5 ND...the club set up
BTW had this been on the EAST grade road? The GT would have been GONE I wont lie,,,,much straighter faster sections than South grade
GO MOM!!! lol
No chance you finding these for 17 to 20k. The cheapest ive ever found with reasonable mileage is 25k n up.
Before COVID hit you could. Be very patient. The market is terrible right now. I feel your pain. I let a 2015 premium with only 40K miles on slip by me for 26K. I was unaware of how good a deal that was until it was too late
I bought a 2015 gt premium/performance package with 40kmiles for 29k. Best i could find around me.
Hi
had a v6 loved the handling but i would get the v8 or ecoboost instead
Watching this video in 2023, hearing him say you could find a 2016 premium for 17k-20k 🗿
The horse logo on your shift knob is triggering my ocd
Cameron, should I trade my built ST for a GT?
Go test drive one, at least 20 miles. You’ll know by the end of it
Had gt 4.6 back in the day. Not a fan of handling just feels too big. Maybe new ones are better but something about small cars I just love... have 20 wrx, and want new miata. When you get older ripping around back roads is all you need.
Price is way higher in Houston.
I noticed that too it fuckin sucks. I'm thinkin best bet is to go out of town to SA, Austin or further to get a better deal..smh
@@cam365 Good idea.
Watching this video now. I wish I could find a gt for less that 30k… BASE model
Hey
Closer to 30,000 not 20 right?
Was thinking the same thing. I’ve been shopping for a month now, your lucky if you find one in the 25-27 range. Never seen one even close to 20,000
@@argobatts5022 in my area you can get a 2015-2016 GT for 20k
It's no kidding about the handling of these cars. I have a 17 pp2 track pack car and I can keep up and or beat alot of faster cars on our canyon runs. I had an old 300 z twin turbo a few years ago and it was a great car but my mustang is faster and it handles way better.
Sold my 2017 Audi s3 apr tuned to buy a 2020 mustang gt. It was not a mistake
If i can have fun in a v6 s550 it’s possible i shouldve bought the v8 but my insurance already 659
659 What bro that’s crazyyy
WTF that's crazy my 2019 GT is 80 a month. Do you have tons of tickets or wrecks ?
659????????????????????
John niner8 im only 18 😭😭 i just dont look my age and plus i have more then one car and I have no wrecks and tickets
@@maverick3958 yea ik I guess it's cause of my age
Everyone says my car is 100% stock EXCEPT…..
I agree, my Coyote was great to drive even in stock form. But I think we all know it still needs mods!
@@davej1212 It gets boring after awhile unless you enjoy boring.
Fairly cheap V8. Worth the money. You won’t regret it!
