Ford just did an amazing job with these 5.0 Mustangs. It's crazy how these motors handle 2x+ the power with no issues. Proud owner of one here!

Of course it’s fun to drive a stock mustang! It’s a 400 plus horsepower v8 car right off the car lot. It’s a silly question.

@@user-se4tk2jj8c well in my opinion, it is definitely fun when going fast, but also enjoyable when cruising. Having the premium option makes it so much better! Leather seats and a beautiful screen. It has been my daily driver in college (I dorm so I don’t drive much but still amazing). My brother has a 370z Nismo and it doesn’t compare. The mustang is big and comfortable. But driving long distance isn’t all too comfortable. I drove my mustang from LA to SF and my butt was hurting. Seats aren’t comfortable for long trips like that but driving around town is what it’s for. My dad owns an M4 and it’s awesome too, but idk a Mustang is something else. I have an emotional connection to mine. I can’t help but look over my shoulder to see the car when parking somewhere and hearing the American muscle V8 get to work is all too worth it for me.

@@user-se4tk2jj8c oh wow that’s crazy. My family originates from the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain but recently in Mexico. And yeah man, I’m a bit biased in my response, but I think the mustang is the way to go for the size and performance, such a beautiful car. but I’d say just listen to your heart. If you think you’d like the mx5, then go for it! I also recommend going on some forums/car groups for both the Mustang and mx5 so you get a good sense about what people think about them. And yeah it’s an interesting contrast between the s550 and mx5, but I’m guessing you have your reasoning. So I’d say just keep doing your research and go for the car that you have more of an emotional attraction too. Also, I would also recommend test driving both or renting them for a day or two and see what feels best for you. It’s a small investment into ensuring you get the car you want!!

I had the option of choosing a 2017 Mustang GT premium or a 2014 Mustang GT premium, and I went with the 2014 because I thought it was a better looking car. (Personally the 13-14’s are the best looking modern Mustangs)
Anyways- I’ve had it for a year now and it’s completely stock, and I’ve had a blast with it! They still have plenty of power and torque, you can do anything you want in a stock mustang. It’s the funnest car I’ve ever owned.

Last one I drove was a new 2012 to check out the new coyote. Coming from a SBF fox body I didnt get far enough into the revs to have it really pull so I wasnt impressed. Now that I have come into a bit of money I am really considering somewhere between a 2018-2020. I want the 10spd with the digital dash. I drove a new BWM 3 series rental and man I got bit by the tech bug. The new cars now have some cool shit. As much as I would love to dump some more cash into my old foxbody, I am really wanting to try out a new one as the hype is incredible for these cars.
It sounds like you got bit by the bug as we used to say back in the 90's with our foxbodys. It was never fast enough and once you get a taste of that speed man you have no choice but to start tweeking it with this bolt on and that bolt on...lol.

I was dogging him in the tight turns but everytime there was the slightest straight away he pulled away ...I am pretty sure he badly wanted to lose me based on what I could see ...by the top he was a few turns ahead of me but always kept him in view when a view was possible...as impressive as the car was? I bet I had at least as much fun. ...just saying And here's the thing IF I had bought the GT? I would have spent a fortune on tires by now (As is I blow through the cheap miata tires in just a few thousand miles) and probably my license would would be in jeapoardy by now not to mention my insurance expense by now! If you want to have mega fun on a budget and maybe keep your license and insurance rates? MX5 ND...the club set up

No chance you finding these for 17 to 20k. The cheapest ive ever found with reasonable mileage is 25k n up.

Before COVID hit you could. Be very patient. The market is terrible right now. I feel your pain. I let a 2015 premium with only 40K miles on slip by me for 26K. I was unaware of how good a deal that was until it was too late

Had gt 4.6 back in the day. Not a fan of handling just feels too big. Maybe new ones are better but something about small cars I just love... have 20 wrx, and want new miata. When you get older ripping around back roads is all you need.

It's no kidding about the handling of these cars. I have a 17 pp2 track pack car and I can keep up and or beat alot of faster cars on our canyon runs. I had an old 300 z twin turbo a few years ago and it was a great car but my mustang is faster and it handles way better.
