I’ve been obsessing over the gt350 but they don’t make them anymore .

  • @Myst3ry1996

    The reason why so many mustangs crash isn't really because of the car. The fact that these cars are so cheap and easy to get and make power is a blessing and a curse. A lot people come out of highschool or upgrade from their 200 hp commuter car and immediately jump into a 400hp monster and think they can WOT around a corner because that's what they're used to doing in their weaker commuter car. If your putting down 400+ hp in a RWD car, it's dangerous to just slam on the throttle out of no where. I mean I have a 300 hp Z and my back end still wants to swing out if I'm not careful. I just feel like the reason the mustangs are known for crashing is because a lot of inexperienced people are easily able to get their hands on them and they think they are invincible.

      Hey no matter what kind of car u drive so long it is RWD, u have too have respect for the horsepower especially if it's over 400 bhp, like I loved a mustang I had before n it was with 480bhp on the rear wheels, but that on was dangerous because of the motor n the mustang was a 1969 mach one n the sound in that one was much more brutal than that car on this video

    • @Myst3ry1996
      @Myst3ry1996 Před 4 lety +7

      @@kiretheyoutuber6535 Ya maybe I was over shooting on the 200hp lol. I was thinking of like newer civics and accords. Older versions have even less. Which even further proves the point of people jumping into a car that has 3-4 times the amount of power they are used to and think they can just throw it around.

    • @Myst3ry1996
      @Myst3ry1996 Před 4 lety +18

      @@Brando8654 I'd say you should be fine getting the GT first, as long as the owner understands what their dealing with then that's a good start. An ecoboost itself has enough power and torque to still lose control like the GT. As long as you take correct precautions then you should be fine. It's the idiots who DON'T do that are the one's who crash. Like whenever I do pulls in a car I'm not too familiar with I wouldn't pull with the car in a gear lower than third and any rpm's lower than 3k. Usually 2nd and 1st have too much tq and cause the wheels to spin out. As I got more comfortable I would start doing 2nd gear pulls, sometimes 1st but 1st is kind of tough on the tranny lol.

    Just bought a 2020 GT used (its 2022) I thought why not. I've had three 6 cylinder models 2010, 2012, 2016. Tried the over rated ecoboost. NAH. No torque. I'm pumped to finally get the GT. It rocks. 10 speed auto, Put on big oversized rear tires, CAI, bigger throttle body, bigger rear Spoiler, etc etc, decals. Hood latches. And some carbon fiber parts. Last car of my life probably. I am almost 70. Detroit Guy. Everyone asks, "why don't you get a pick up?". They just don't understand. It's in the blood. Got a harley too. Going out in a bang. I’m glad you younger guys are coming around... I get it about the Japanese cars and it’s nice having all wheel drive in the rain and snow but you can do very little to a Mustang and have a car that will run with most anything and be reliable. If I were you and you like jamming gears, get yourself a short throw aftermarket shifter. They spring load the gate and you can really do some nice shifts without missing gears and they have the adjustable stops on them so when you shift hard you don’t bend the shift forks,the older ones with the 5 speed transmission that was a common problem and if you didn’t do anything after the forks bent the transmission would fail because the gears won’t fully engage.They are pretty easy to install if you can follow directions and have a few basic hand tools.I’m an old geezer but I’ve had many Mustangs and enjoyed the hell out of them. They SUCK in the snow if you live in the north and you have to be careful in the rain because the back tires will brake loose at 80 to 100 in the rain pretty easily I’ve owned a few old Mustangs from the 60’s and my first brand new car was an 82 GT. I’ve had an 84,86,90 GT’s and I have a 93 Cobra with a 9lb centrifugal supercharger and a few other minor things that pulled a little over 400 horsepower to the wheels on a dyno and will smoke the hell out of the tires in the first three gears. You gotta remember the Fox body cars are over 1000 pounds lighter than the newer ones and that’s a huge difference for acceleration and braking. I’m a recently retired auto mechanic with over 40 years experience with cars so if you ever need help feel free to ask me about anything car related.

The EcoBoost also has a lighter front end which makes the handling even better than the already good GT. With my EcoBoost, I threw in another $1,000 and I'm making 320 whp and 390 wheel torque with a pro tune by PD tuning. Just something to think about in your next video if you bring up mustangs again!

I’ve had no problems with it and the only things I had to do with it were oil changes and a set of tires. It’s got a rousch cold air kit, long tube headers, and a VMP tune. It’s quick. I cruise at 70 mph on the freeways and at times I downshift to 3rd gear and floor the accelerator and work through the gears and the car just rockets forward. It’s a big rush.
