    Also, check out Jaco Pastorius's "Crisis" from 3 Views of a Secret, which is all the musicians improvising to a constant 16th(?) note bassline without hearing the others parts. It feels very anxious and creative, and it's weird how it came together so well.

      An addendum, after watching fully: I have sort of the opposite problem in applying jazz to videogames. I know enough about making jazz music comparitively, but nothing about making video games.
