      That would have added weight, cost , complexity and is another source of failure/breakdown. This was designed from the ground up to be a sky truck and the keep it simple principal was no doubt #1. Kodiaks, Twin Otters, Grand Caravans have been doing fine without retract. No needed for their kind of missions.

    O Desaer ATL 100 não terá condições de brigar no seguimento regional de passageiros com o SkyCourier, por causa da configuração com porta traseira do ATL, como configurar uma aeronave dessas com o transporte de passageiros, terá que ter uma linha de montagem dedicada com um projeto separado, isso aumenta em muito o custo de produção. O ATL irá atender o seguimento de carga militar. O projeto da Cessna foi pensado para atender os dois seguimentos de carga e passageiros, em uma única linha de montagem, custo de produção menor. Parabéns Cessna. Sou fã dos seus produtos.

      Há uma lacuna na aviação que nenhum fabricante de aeronaves está observando devidamente, a deixada pelos utilitários como o Short C-23 Sherpa / SC.7 Skyvan de considerável capacidade de transporte e baixo custo de operação e de manutenção.
      Aquela porta traseira do C-23 Sherpa é sensacional!

    • @LuizCarlos-yg7mh
      @LuizCarlos-yg7mh Před 3 lety +4

      O problema das portas traseiras é na questão dos passageiros, o SkyCourier consegue atender muito bem o transporte de cargas e na mesma linha de produção o SkyCourier se transforma em uma aeronave regional confortável para 19 passageiros, isso faz muita diferença.

    Could be a good replacement for the 3 twin otters we have here in the Samoa islands with just a few pointers.
    1. The landing gear looks a little skinny for the landing we do here…

      It’s designed for FedEx Feeder operations. We don’t operate on gravel runways but mostly 5000ft or longer, paved runways. I hope to be flying one within a year. Simple systems should guarantee high reliability. If it’s as reliable as the Caravan we should have very little maintenance downtime outside of scheduled inspections.
