the nurse was not using gloves. There is no need to stab and no need to use force while injecting as it will lead to tissue trauma. smooth ,sliding motion will get the meds in to the muscle. IM on vastus did not look like at ninety degree angle. the locations were nicely demonstrated.
If you are self-injecting, you can't firm the area with your fingers, right? so that part (firming the area isn't necessary, but optional)??? Also, why would anyone self-injecting choose the buttock--too many nerves and blood vessels there. same thing with thigh. my friend injected himself too low or high in butt & was temporarily paralyzed. is the deltoid the best area to self-inject. it seems you hit dead center in the delt, right?
was rather a harsh jolt to the skin with the person injecting..agree the "butt" guy was not happy! I'm a nurse and used the fast dart like technique way this person has done BUT not as harsh. Quick and easy does it :) I am a hospice nurse now we have no injections (so far) CADD pumps at times and use drugs and other mixtures. Good view anyway showing the correct locations.

That's a oOLD video, remember, you don't need to stick the neddle so fast or massage the area, you just need to compress the area with the gauze.

why not? do you mean insulin syringes that use once and Destroy kind? because for IM shots I use the insulin 30 units
