This is a great beginner resource for anyone wanting to get into Software Engineering and Web Devlopment! I think the biggest challenge for people is that they watch coding tutorials but don't really build projects.
Or even if they get the right skills, and become good technically, they don't know how to communicate their value and communicate with clients or employers to get work. More videos and resources for that would be great!
I agree, building projects is a must when it comes to applying your knowledge and actually gaining mastery at your skills!

Yes I went to the US for college and even worked there for 3 years in Chicago.
But the green card process there is terrible! And you can’t even start your own side hustle or full blown business without a green card. The system wants you to stay in a job, which is perfectly ok if you want to be in a job.
But I wanted to pursue freelance, business and coaching others as well. Which is why I moved to Canada, as it was easier to get my PR quickly. And now I’m not tied down to a single company but rather can work for myself and bring in clients to make money, or even coach students on technical and soft skills to help them gets jobs or learn freelancing. So it made sense to move here!

I don’t think so. There is always benefit in in jobs as well. No one says that it has to be an end all.
A good job can teach you a lot of things that you wouldn’t otherwise.
You can always choose to switch to client and freelance model or even start your startup and SAAS product.
But starting a business also takes learning and experience. I learned a lot of new tech, programming languages, how product creation works, how customer acquisition works, how money is raised to fund growing businesses while working remotely for a Silicon Valley startup.
And now I’m implementing all of that while I’m the process of building my own services and SAAS product that I will be talking more about soon.
It is your choice on how you leverage different opportunities, you can use something as a stepping stone.
