This is the class I wish I had, and even though I’ve been spinning for quite a while, it’s always nice to go back and watch someone else teach. It’s great for picking up new tools in my spinner brain, but also great for picking up other ways of explaining things to brand new spinners.
And of course, once you got the thinnest single your want, it's SO hard to go back. Still learning!
Love starting with commercial yarn. I may have my daughter who wants to learn to spin watch these as they come up. She will be thrilled to have more dedicated time with a wheel.
And FLD fibers are so pretty and easy to work with!

I don’t have a wheel and I care take for my elderly mother so I can’t take a class but I’m so excited to watch this. If I feel confident enough after I can just online order a wheel. Thanks for doing this.

I am so glad you will be using your Schacht Matchless because that’s what I have and I feel I don’t know what I am doing with the wheel in double drive. I still have my starter wheel, an Ashford Joy, which is a single drive. I am really looking forward to this series.

Oohh... you've made me remember my wheel (Kromski Minstrel) can be used single drive (as I always do) and double drive.....I must try double to see what it's like......

Wish I had known about different fibres when I first stated. I used Marino and boy it was hard. The wheel nearly got thrown out of the door. But yes I did manage to spin it.

When I took lessons for the first time my teacher gave me an Ashford wheel to spin on. After my second lesson and trying to spin for two weeks I had decided spinning was not for me. She switched me to a matchless and everything clicked!

Only if you're using it as a double drive. I explained earlier in the series
i have a ladybug and have been leaving on the shuttle for the largest bobbin even when i use reg size schacht bobbins as both fit on the large one. does this practice cause problems or incorrect spinning?
I guess I'll have to borrow a double drive and give it a whorl. I know, corny
