Haunted Henry (Extended Adaptation)

- Haunted Henry is my favorite episode, and I felt the adaptation I did back in 2013 was not that great. Given the small number of sets needed and potential for great effects, I decided to have another go, this time with wooden railway! I started filming back in March, when the COVID lockdowns began. I did not think I would get the motivation to finish it but here it is!
Special thanks to Headmaster Hastings for composing the brilliant arrangements of what I consider to be some of the scariest music pieces from the show!
Note: This video is intended for older fans who grew up with the show for nostalgic purposes. Although children can watch this, they are not the intended audience.

Excellent work! Thank you for letting me be a part of this. This was great fun. I'd be so down to see you tell a story with wooden railway again in the future.
Who were you voice acting
Bernard Armah Edward!
It was definitely a lot of work but the end result was rewarding so in the future I probably will do another. Thanks for voicing Edward as alway :)
@@Thomas1Edward2Henry3 can you do a face reveal
@@Thomas1Edward2Henry3 what was the name of that music when the ghost of guto comes out of the mist from the haunted henry you did back in 2013 october 6th
I hope my performance isn’t wooden
Ba dum tiss
HA HA! XD
@Jon Aschenbrenner it is a wooden railway video so ye.
I love your performance, u fit perfectly for edward
Get out.
To answer some questions, 1. I gave Henry a different actor because I felt that if I voiced him I would have to do all the voices because otherwise it would be 90% me given Henry’s large role and few others which would be pretty jarring. 2. Wooden Railway will not be a regular thing on my channel. I did this in WR because I thought it lent well to the soooky effects but it was LOADS more work than Trainz. I’ve been tossing around doing a WR adaptation of Duke the Lost Engine (heck maybe even a redone Search for Smudger) but that won’t be in the near future. I have more RWS style adaptations and remastered TEOS episodes planned next.
U do perfect voices. But have a question, why not Andrew Homer for James
So what about the music, that was from the classics episodes are so official to me. ^_^
@Thomas1Edward2Henry3 You my friend did a great job making that video.
I'd like to know what's the music at 03:14 when the story of Gorsoflynn is told. I love it, with this ominous vibe and I'd like to use it for a project.
@@edsiles4297 me too
The legend we all love is BACK!!! HURRRAAAYYYY
You did an incredible job with this adaptation! It's a big departure from your usual Trainz videos, but all the sets you designed for it look incredible, like they could have been from the real show! I also really liked the way you elaborated on the original story, giving larger roles to characters like Gordon and Douglas, as well as expanding upon Old Bailey's personality. I definitely would consider this canon to TEOS.
Let's hope my acting won't be the one haunting everyone's sanity.
Nice voice of Henry
Come Now!!! He sounded like a Cute bunny
Nice Henry voice Jonas! Wonderful job lad!
It was bonerific.
Yeaaa, let's just pay attention to the plot and stuff
this is a amazing adaptation of what is probably my favorite episode! I appreciate the hard work that must have gone into the plot and the scenes, just fantastic
However, there is a way that I feel like the story could have played out differently:
Perhaps instead of (not even going to try pronouncing it) the cult leader being, well... a cult leader. He could have been the station master (and grandfather of old Baily) and he tried to warn an express train about the viaduct perhaps being broken or blocked by rocks. The train doesn't stop and crashes in the area of the bridge (most likely a river) and nobody on the train is heard from again. Then the old station master retires and for the remaining span of his life (prior to the episode taking place would be when he would die), he would think of the accident that he couldn't prevent.
The comes present day and Edwards story at this point has changed the the mentioned event.
Then the events of the episode take place, and Henry does end up stopping, but he thinks that the ghost of (insert Bailies grandfathers name) had instead tried to warn them.
Then the next night instead of the viaduct, rocks had landed on the tracks
Henry then passes by the warning and almost completely falls into the area below, however, the cars miss (the presumed river) and are relatively intact.
then the rest of the episodes events take place accept Baily explaining the full story of his grandfather and his heroic attempt to save (in which we will call the Midnight express) which then Henry then realizes that Baily had warned them, and a ghost was very unlikely.
The station re-opens and sir Topham hat titles Baily as the friendliest: "Ghost" on the island.
This story is however the way I think it should have played out, which is opinionated.
I think the story should play out in any way people want to view it, this was your view on the episode and events that predated, presented, and surpassed and it was executed with elegance. Hope to see more adaptations from your channel soon
Wonderful Job! This was definitely worth the wait! Absolutely amazing adaptation.
And well Done to Jerome, Callum, Sally, Matt, Jonas & you with your wonderful voice acting.
I cannot express enough how well done this is, for a first take on something new. Yes, the facial movement is a tad jerky when engines are moving around, but I’ve seen worse methods. As for the cast, it really is surprising hearing somebody else besides you play Henry, and while I wasn’t one of the people chosen for the project, everyone else deserves a round of applause for their performance. And with that, I, Andrew, bid you farewell, and wish you a Happy Halloween!
Hey how’s it going? I decided to not have an actor for James because he had a very minor role (hence the same with Thomas and Percy).
@@Thomas1Edward2Henry3 Doing alright, sir. I’m busy working at FedEx, but I’m still available for voicing.
WAIT YOU WORK AT FedEx?! That was not what I was expecting.
@@LightingHedgehogYT Yep. I wasn’t expecting to get the job, nor was I expecting to keep it for so long, but here I am.
I quite Enjoyed the original adaptation of Haunted Henry, but this new Wooden Railway adaptation was excellent! Everything was spot on! Really was so enjoyable especially with the new elements to improve the story!
I love this version of the Haunted Henry. It feels more wholesome and more completed compared to the original. Great job!
This one is the canon one. That aside, this was a really good adaptation of one of if the most spooky episode of Thomas & Friends the model era's ever known, and one that's years old now! Superb stuff!
I wish more adaptations expanded on the source material like this did. I loved it.
This is gonna be great! For a brief moment, one of the OG’s has returned.
Excellent job to all involved, this turned out splendidly.
I used to think Percy and the haunted mine was the scariest but since i’ve Watched this I’ve changed my mind
VERY nice remake! You've done a good job at using WR. I know how much work it is to make a video using models instead of using Trainz but it has a charm to it that you can't really replicate. You can't get good fog effects or crashes in Trainz that's for sure. I hope to see you try your hand at doing more videos like this in future when you want of course.
I would only suggest some writing critiques for your scripts. You used the word "suddenly" in two sentences. "Suddenly Henry started to feel uneasy. Suddenly, he saw something." Minor issue, but still a great video!
I love the old haunted Henry when diesel 10 came along, and when Henry screamed I laughed so hard on that that I almost having a heart attack 😂😂
I missed the premiere, but I really liked this adaptation of the story! I definitely think this is much better than the old one by a long shot. Great work!
Hope it’ll be as epic as the old one you made :)
If the 2013 one you mean is the Trainz Adaption, then I think it's among the best Haunted Henry stories :)
Love to see more Wooden Railway videos! This was wonderful!
Honestly this is one of my favorite if not my number 1 favorite adaptation of this story. Finally, everything makes sense and is given proper backstory. All the sets looked great and the acting+editing was all brilliant as well. I only hope we can see more content like this from you in the future man but either way you have my and all of our support. Best wishes mate
10:27 Gordon: First the rain, then an elephant, and now a station. Whatever will you be afraid of next?
The first time we hear Gordon say it was in the adaptation of "Henry and the Elephant" in Season 4 of Thomas and Friends.
This was great. If I was watching this when I was younger I would find this really scary.
The music and fog in this are amazing you've done a great job
When ever I watch the haunted Henry episode I get hylophobia from the trees
Oh wow. If just finally heard my lines that I recorded. I just didn’t realise mine had been used. Thank you.
T1e2h3, i love ur vids, I've been a fan for 2 years now, ur content is awsome!
I love "Haunted Henry" as well.
Well, This adaptation was an a great one for halloween. even though you made your own haunted Henry a few years ago, but it still a great 2 part videos for halloween.
Looking forward to it!
Haunted Henry is he haunted by a tree lol
This is epic! Well done man!
RIP CCC 😪
Rest in peace, man
Amazing remake of haunted henry
Well done man! This has some great fog effects, and amazing sets!
I would say that this is the best adaptation of Haunted Henry I've ever seen! Hell, it's better than the one you made back in 2013!
An interesting take on this story. You did a great job with the wooden trains!
Nice video mate, best wishes as always.👍😁
Personally, I’m not much of a fan of wooden Thomas videos but I’ll give this one a chance
I tried to make this more scenic like a model railroad. In fact if I had Bachman I would have used that instead. Otherwise, yeah, pushing trains out on a toy layout is not very exciting.
Agreed but I still have a load of that still in my attic from my childhood
But this ain’t half bad good job
Or you could have used Tomy
@@Thomas1Edward2Henry3 Can I give you lines for my channel?
this was awesome good work!!!
Outstanding as always!
Wow this is very new Halloween special
3:18 Hey look it’s Terrier55Stepney’s patented Sodor Map!
Plot twist: guto quill guatro faked their own death and will try to kill sir Topham hat 5 years from now
Lol
I'm so glad your voice is back
bruh the narrating is perfect, its being years and years i seen lots of scary episode of thie series XD
The remake was awesome. Well done lad.
I love how every Thomas fan finds a way to use the original music from the show, it’s so eerie and memorable not to use. This was very great. You outdid yourself this time
8:55 it read:This is a sing ...
Amazing!
I enjoyed this. A lot of talent.
Great adaptation!
Welcome back dude!
How have i only come across this now this is awesome, you should do another some day and make a wooden railway collection video for extra content
The original is good, But this is better. The model work is brilliant. And the editing with the faces is something even I can’t do.
Gonna be awesome!!
when old bailey said "acknowledged it" i thought he said "ignore the shit" xD
Same here
I love your 2013 adaptation
Why am i getting the vibes of a wooden railway adaption of your Haunted henry 2 parter
I'm going to love this
Henry's spooked face made my heart stop
still, I can't wait to see more adaptation stories soon.
A very interesting retelling. I prefer the old one more as I liked that the town was rebuilt. Also why did you change Toby’s dialogue to Douglas?
Interesting, I didn’t know you experimented with the wooden models back in the day
It's fantastic
Thomas1Edward2Henry3 Do you remember the 2007 wooden railway lead paint crisis?
Can’t wait for this!!!
Awesome adaptation
What an upgrade over the other one. Good Work!
“Now if you don’t mind, I’d like to go to sleep in my very dark shed!” Edward.
Me: Also Edward: “Crawling in my skin!”
nice video.i especially love the smoke effects. How did you make those special smoke effects?
If doctor hoot from the YTP isn't in this I'll be very sad
Yes!
Hawin Lake Station is on the Peel Godred branch
This is gonna be great
It was true abandoned branch line many years ago. could edward story it that be true? I was saying things about haunted henry. But old bailey save henry and his crew from the warning sign.
Happy halloween and you too henry. 🎃
I'm surprised you didn't use the deep voice for Henry that you used in Engines of Sodor.
He didn't want to voice him, as he wanted to try something else for a change. I think both voices suit the arrogant but gentle green giant well. :D
Can we get some more wooden railway remakes in time ? Or even maybe the occasionl original story if possible ?
Bruh great job also new fan congrats
Perfection
Wait if this is an adaptation
Where are the Diesel 10 Jumpscares🤣
T1E2H3 Legendary Fat Controller voice!
It's nice you make the adaptation using wooden railway

this is awesome
Great Job dude!
This is really good, I'd liek to see more videos like this
my cast for Thomas/South Park
Toby as Stan Marsh
Edward as Kyle Broflovski
Smudger as Eric Cartman
Peter Sam as Kenny McCormick
Thomas as Clyde Donovan
Diesel as Scott Tenorman
Percy as Craig Tucker

Thats what I call haunting

Not bad for a wooden remake.
The most complicated name ever for a ghost villain lol
A wonderful remake
9:16, that made me go pale...
What is this strange wooden spirit you seem to have summoned
