小时候还经常看到我家这边有种棉花
长大之后再也没见过了
就是没人种了
那时候家旁边有个大晒坝
晒坝旁边就有将近1亩地的棉花
开花的时候漂亮极了！
白的 粉的花朵随风摇曳
我做作的棉花田里赏花，
还假装自己很美的样子～～～
现在看来，至少这一点我还是没变的！！
When I was a child, I often saw cotton growing in the field near my house. But I don't see it when I grew up.
At that time, there was a big drying dam beside the house, and there was a nearly 600 ㎡ cotton field beside the drying dam.

小时候还能找到去棉籽专用的木头梳花机
但现在都没有了
所以只能靠手
一颗颗摘肯定是摘到过年都摘不完
想了个办法
用梳羊毛的梳子来梳掉棉花籽
比梳花机慢，但也比手摘要快很多很多。
4斤棉花估摸着多半天
The picked cotton should be dried to remove water vapor and then be seeded.
When I was a child, I saw a special machine for removing cottonseed, but now it is gone, so I could only remove impurities by hand.
If you pick one by one by hand, you can't finish it until the Spring Festival. 😑
Then I figured out a way to comb the cotton seeds with a wool comb. 😜
It's slower than a machina, but it's much faster than a manual summary.
It took about half a day to finish 2kg of cotton.

左右横竖通通拉一遍
最后还得拉大线经纬固定

I still have this childhood memory of my mom taking our cotton beddings to the craftsman’s workshop and let them add more layers. I can still visualize their movements of doing it. That’s how we survived the humid and severe winter with no heat in central China. Now my hometown is urbanized so fast and those workshops are nowhere to see, our beddings have come from these old schooled cotton to modern mattress. Her way of starting seed was really interesting. She's almost like a historical record of traditional techniques.
Lots of gardeners do it this way, even starting the seeds in a greenhouse and then replanting outside, when the weather's warm enough. Generally it's either replanting or you plant in the rows you want the mature plants to be in, but after the sprouts have come up, you thin them.
@@alexcarter8807 I meant the little earth cakes each seed was in. I have a metal tool that makes those potless starter squares but I didn't realise that with the right soil you could just slice it up like a cake and get the same result.

this actually reminded me my childhood memory, the people use to come to our village to help people make & fix the cotton quilts. I loved watching them how to make the the quilts became fluffy and fixed the old flat quilts.
One of strongest feelings I have when watching Ziqi’s videos is this life style can become a therapy for depression. One gets too busy for depression; and every outcome becomes rewarding and appreciated. After following her series, I myself became more diligent, and complaining less about daily chores and labor. this makes me realize how much stress we live under. with school, drama, friends, grades, just go outside for a little and weave yourself a flower crown. breath. the world may do many things to you, but if you can appreciate what the world does best, it will give it to you. all we worry about is the drama, the grades, the work, the pressure, the "trying to be best at something" thingy, but deep down we don't depend on that to survive. look around, and whenever you feel discouraged or left out, just try something new. breath in and out, in and out. appreciate what the world has given you.

hi lenox sapphire..i took my 1st steps 2 years ago.. settle all my loans and quit my job. moved to a small town to join technical course..life is very difference and can be very upsetting sometime but 100% for sure it is less stressful..now i working at my new workshop..i have less money compare to before but in return i get beautiful scenery everyday.no more high rise building and everthing is cheaper. .

She applied traditional alcohol, in her wrist . Here in Nepal as well , traditionally we apply alcohol to the area where it pains or swells , it reduces your pain and reduces swellings. It also works for cracks on your feet , idk how but it works
