Fantastic idea. I glued a paper clip to my plate while watching. Love it! I used Licorice glue. Hope it works. I didn't have any E6000.

Yes I did use nails to hang it
You can use a command strip to hang things and it won't mess up the wall.

No reason why it shouldn't work with anything unless it's too heavy.
Wouldnt hot glue gun do the same thing?
No don’t ever use a hot glue gun. Once the plate gets cold the hot glue will pop right off!
