Iâm 55 hoping to end the rat race at 60 with $1M. I know money is a liability to be exchanged for assets with real value like real estate (rental income) stocks (dividends) gold (profit) But, what is it with bitcoin? I'd love to diversify my $200k portfolio for fast growth.
bitcoin does not pay any yield but will reward you with growth that you can't find in any other asset class
look at the charts, bitcoin has outperformed every stock and banking product ever developed even after multiple pullbacks over the last decade. not a financial advisor but I know what i'm saying
The key is diversification. Personally, I delegate my investing to a license advisor, cos my job doesn't permit the time to perform market analysis myself. Thankfully, my stagnant portfolio has now 5X in 5 years, barely 10% short of a 7figure account.

I think blackrock bought a huge proportion of greyscale before their etf was approved. Rode greyscale up, sell at a profit as they have to buy for their own etf. Its a way to control the price.

All those people that could have bought the Hong Kong ETF last week but chose not to will be kicking themselves now, and hopefully buying in first thing Monday morning!

So since January 11, the ETFâs have acquired roughly 5% of all the available BitcoinâŠ.assuming 4-5 million are lost or held by Satoshi! Thereâs nowhere near enough to go around!
Thanks James. Have you done any modeling to determine correlation between the price of BTC and IBIT? Trying to figure out best time/day to buy/sell IBIT relative to changes in BTC price. My back of the napkin analysis indicates that Tuesday is the worst day of the week for both BTC and IBIT...therefore best day to buy. While Thursday is the best day of the week for IBIT...therefore best day to sell. Thoughts?

Re: the adoption phase, I was early in the cellular market, and I recall conversations regarding 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% penetration rates of cellphones at a slow pace. Then suddenly... 50%, 60%, 80%, to over 100% (yes, that's accurate, people with 2 phones)
My point is that the exponential growth is coming for Bitcoin

James for your reference, I'm in HK and as a retail investor I have not been able to buy the HK Spot BTF ETFs (Citibank, Interactive Brokers and Saxos have tried and no luck). Also cannot buy the US Spot ETFs from here in HK

James only tells us what the data is suggesting might happen and what has happened before for comparison. He is the first to admit when things don't play out the way the data and history indicate they could. Yes, he calls his analysis of the data and what we might glean from it his "predictions", but there is a difference between doing that and saying "I'm the expert and I know what the price will be next week".

Even though the ups and downs are difficult, the reasons I got into bitcoin remain the same. FED money printing, currency devaluation, printing money for wars, bailing out banks, etc. I don't expect any of that to stop until the money is worthless.

Are the ETFs allowed to time their buys (waiting for technical entry points, etc.), or, are they *obligated* to buy (or sell) BTC on a daily basis per the flows into (or out of) the ETFs ?

Since they said you can't use BTC ETF as collateral... its 180 degrees for now.
Based on previous cycles, I expect BTC to peak about September 2025 at around $200,000 (3x to 4x halving price) and then fall about 75% over the following months. I hope to sell as close to the top as I can and use the proceeds to buy a bigger bag at $50k to $70k in 2026. What do you think?
