It never crossed my mind that Luke wanted to join the Imperial Academy. That'd be an epic Star Wars What If?
the deleted scenes elaborated that biggs darklighter joined the imperial academy and afterwards defected to the rebel alliance. That might've been luke's plan as well.
It cross my mind many of time
2:43 well now I know what I'm naming my child.
is there any character without a name in legends?
Celldrom Probably not, they gave one random guy carring an ice cream maker in cloud city a backstory...
Wow being Sarcastic gets a person likes, neat trick.
Ron Kelley meh don't worry about em bro
yeah most of the rule of two sith
Yes. One example was the head-bumping stormtrooper in A New Hope, which was not named until after Disney purchased Star Wars. In a selection of Disney short stories called "From A Certain Point of View", the head-bumping stormtrooper was known as TD-110.
I never realized the T16 was in the background before!
Right? I feel stupid for not seeing it this whole time.
I think I actually noticed it myself only a year ago or so!
well that makes me feel a little better about it
same
Since we are talking trivia the script says BT-16, the novel has T-16, and the video subtitles have VT-16.
I love that among all the space instruments with space names you have drum, why don't drums get a space name?
"Oh don't listen to Dr. Ball, he's just an old fool!"
Skippy the Jedi Droid was never considered canon in Legends. It was a joke.
Vader the White exactly. Anyone who got their facts from primary sources rather than rely on the internet and wikis would know that
14 (I mean)12 parsects *triggered*
As Pablo Hidalgo pointed out on the Star Wars Show last week, "Tantive IV" is pronounced "Tan-tiv-ee" Four, with the name having three syllables, as per the radio drama.
Oh, but great video, man! I enjoyed it!
Yeah! I heard that, but I'd already done this video haha. From now on I will be pronouncing it correctly, even though it sounds very weird to me.
Barry Evans I have always called the Blockade Runner the Tan-teev 4 and will continue to do so. Many characters within the Star Wars universe pronounce names differently (LeeAh/LayAh), so there is no "correct" way to say it. It's just like Tomayto/Tomahto.
Just as how everyone called Alderaan differently.
Heck, no. I am never calling it that. That's just dumb. It's been the Tantive my whole freaking life.
You know Star Wars 101 would be a fun class to be in. lol :)
6:18 The granddaddy of all Rumbas!!
LOL, the dice in the Millennium Falcon's cockpit was pretty slick.
Interesting note: they were only featured in that scene where Chewbacca enters the Falcon cockpit for the first time. Their next appearance wouldn't be until The Last Jedi when Luke looks at them with reverent nostalgia.
please tell me you'll do a video like this for all star wars films
Not sure why he hasn’t. These are GREAT!
This is GREAT for people that Star Wars trivia. Excellent job. Very entertaining.
Agreed! I use this a study guide all the time! 🍻
Ahhhh Yes, A Force Sensitive Droid. Love It.
He must have a high midochloorian count, the thing that exists in all “living” things . . . 🤣
Fact 102 the genre of music playing in the cantina is called Jizz Wailing
I think ots just Jizz isn't it? I know the band from rotj is max rebo and the jizz whailers
@@kitfisto4574 Either way, a Disney retcon on that will be coming soon! 🤣
Waking up with a new video from Star Wars Explained. Love it xD
Perfect video for my morning commute to school
I'd love to see more of these, even for clone wars and rebels, maybe even the video games.
Absolutely great prep for trivia contests! I watch this video several times whenever I’m up in our trivia contest for A New Hope! 🍻
I notice that a lot of people miss that the BT-16 is mentioned in The Force Awakens. You can barely hear it in the background, but it happens when Rey is about to climb down the shaft wall on Starkiller Base
Please do this for all the movies
Will no learn for yourself!!!!!
@@daylacro9733 ?
Please do this but with the facts being behind-the-scenes based. Like facts about how the movie was made and retrospective stuff like that.

No, he's Satan.
I knew a lot of these but i NEVER would have realised that metal thing in the background was a Skyhopper
This was cool. I think it'd be fun to make it a little more random in a way, maybe have a 101 facts based on, for example, the x-wing series in legends or seasons of clone wars/rebels rather than just the films.
And I love the trivia aspect too, there's just sooo much and I love that!
Dr Ball MD, "Im a doctor not a monster" I love robot chicken
This is more "random facts legends invented" than a "a new hope film facts"
*EU
Since he mentions the ones that are EU i am going to assume that the rest is not EU but written in books and commics.
jajaja creo que tienes razón Mika. Gusto verte por acá! XD
Siempre está bien raggear un poco en vídeos americanos :P
It's only legends when the thing in the bottom left corner says it is.
Love it!!! I think you should make one for every episode!
i always liked thinking the krayt dragon skeleton is the one you kill in Kotor
Would love to see trivia like this done for all the films, although I know how much work that would be! Slowly but surely!
backstabber and mauler squad goals.
Subtitles in Rogue One claim that the Stormtroopers were talking about T-16s not BT-16s but it's still unconfirmed
3:07 The man with absolutely no chill and no knees to pray.
Absolutely make more of these! One of the best videos you've made for sure!
Wow! Of all the types of video you are making, Alex, this now is my favorite! I like trivias too, and info on the cantina visitors was really fun and interesting. Really hope you'll continue with this series. And, by the way, decision to put "Legends" inscription when you are mentioning EU material is very convenient and thoughtful. Thanks!
You are the most informative Star Wars channel ever. You deserve that 50,000 credits Jabba was gonna give away
So are you telling me that R2 dowloaded the map to Luke in the Death Star in A New Hope?????
Please do more of these! I really enjoyed this one :)
Please do continue, I could watch hours upon hours of trivia.
I liked this. I knew most of the trivia already, but still got a surprise. I can't believe I never noticed Luke's T-16 sitting outside. also, too bad you didn't include the cantina band's music genre. That's a fun piece of trivia.
These are the videos you have to watch when you’re significant other is a huge Star Wars nerd and you want to get on board with their thing!
The Legends tags for the old EU bits are a nice touch.
Loved this video. Please do more like this!
Huge fan of your channel, also someone who loves both trivia and Star Wars, and I personally think this was excellent, and would love to see a whole series of these videos, based on the other films, and tv shows/series.Top shelf video!

Good stuff. I'd love to see more of these.
Loved the trivia! Pleas do more.
UGH
The Ronto creature added to the Mos Eisley scene is in my, "top 10 most annoying special edition additions." list.
(Along with the ridiculous musical number at Jabba's palace.)
Great Video! :-) Would love to see more like this.
please continue your great work :) is awesome and entertaining
@ fact 63 -- Garindan was actually "voiced" (for many varying values of voiced) by John Wayne -- Ben Burtt took a archive clip of Wayne's voice from an old film and modulated it and otherwise manipulated it six ways from Sunday to get the effect heard on screen.
Awesome :) Would love one for the other films!
Great video, and very helpful.
Please do this for all of the films!
I have a question for you.
can droid by force sensitive.
and if so was general grievous force sensitive
No, droids cannot be force sensitive. General Grievous was not force sensitive, and also not a droid. He was an alien with cybernetics to help him stay alive and improve his reflexes.
@@noahhuffstutler2686 he did have blood from a frozen jedi, not sure who, the midichlorians inside the blood of said jedi kept grievous alive but did not make him force sensitive
@@idk28751 that’s legends tho
@@idk28751 dooku gave him the blood of sifo dyas and his lightsaber.
I really liked the video!! Great idea!
This was a fun video. I too enjoy trivia, and would appreciate further videos of this type.

Thank you Alex!!! you made a video including the names of the aliens in the cantina, just like I requested, great video can't wait for the next, keep it up!!
Love this video!!
Loved this video! Please please make more about the other films. It was awesome.
I very very rarely leave a comment but I have to say I enjoyed this a lot and really hope you continue the series for the rest of the movies!
OML THIS VIDEO WAS AWESOME!! Gave me names of A LOT of star wars characters I thought were just background. But I should know that it's star wars and everyone in star wars has a name.
Love this and trivia. Make sure Pablo watches!!!
I'm a big fan, hoping you can answer these questions in a future video;
How did Maul get off of Naboo?
How did Vader get of Moraband?
And how did Poe get off Jakku?
And has Poe met Rey?
Maul: Helped by Palp
Vader: Helped by Palp
Poe: don't know yet
Poe + Rey: Probably
Great video! Would like to see more!
Great video. Hope you'll do more
Please do more of these vids. I love trivia about the star wars movies and inunivers lore.
