Anima's first stop on this journey is to the Kalawa Jazmee studios, where she meets Spikiri aka 'The King Don Father' of Kwaito. This episode explores the roots of Kwaito, black ownership, new age Kwaito and the importance of representing who you are and where you come from.

This was such a great episode. When Anima was dancing in studio and Spikiri asked if she used to dance reminded that at some point in my childhood I wanted to be iPantsula. I wore white converse sneakers and I used to practice my footwork every day. How quickly the musical landscape has changed since then.
