Car manufacturers should spend more time getting the seats to fold flat. Those seats look more like a launching ramp aimed at the back of the driver's head.
These days the petrol engines are so good and efficient in premium cars, that they are quite tempting. Only in heavy vehicles are diesels compelling. The 1.4 petrol 150 ps engine is pretty good, whereas we would have laughed at 1.4 engines in any thing but a super mini 20 years ago.
I have one of these and I've made some videos about it on my channel, including an owner's review and a run-through of most of the options. I've had it for 4 months now and I'm very happy with it.
The virtual cockpit display will loose power by time as each pixel "wears off", after some years the light it emits will be more than halved and that makes a considerable difference in daylight. VAG doesn't operate with pixel guarantee so your basically on your own there. Also, at night it's very bright, making it quite annoying and harsh on the eyes and there's no adjuster. I would choose the traditional analogue display.
Lets try to find an estate car that will COMFORTABLY Take GRAN & GRANDA Plus the baby/seat across the rear seat so far i can,t find any review that actually covers this or shows they have done it , my ford mondeo does it but it is not in comfort for any length of time .
The reason more SUV's are being sold is because they have all but stopped making saloon cars! It is quite apparent that the car buying public is being forced into SUV's.

I actually ask that question the other way around: what are the reasons to buy an SUV over an estate? SUV owners will say it's the 4WD. But most SUV people buy nowadays are actually SUV-lookalikes, as they have 2WD. Also, with 4WD you're not really doing some off-roading are you? Oh, and obviously there are 4WD versions of estates too.
Not disputing the fact that some SUVs look great, I still cannot quite understand what is driving the surge in SUV sales almost everywhere in the world so much. What makes them so special over limousines / estates?
imo the lever flip down seats in the back are the best way to do it. the subaru outback does it this way too. too many are power that im sure will be very pricey to fix when it breaks

And sound quality is much better on digital. Why not bring your own music to the car? Well, sometimes I'd like to listen to non-music stuff, and sometimes I'd like the radio host to choose the music for me.
what's even the point of it? It's the same as FM as you have a select few that are national and the rest are just regional, the only difference is you get some different stations in the regions

Went to see the car - was put off by something as simple as a dodgy door handle. It goes upwards lol - what was so bad about a conventional pull handle? Not to mention it costs £50k when specced properly and with a decent engine.
i hate this navigation tablet style that sits up stuck there, same like mercedes C class nav style. It takes space and its like obtrusive....what happened to the pop-up system? that needs to come back
they have the same mount style on the A6/7/8 and yet it hides in those cars. I think they just wanted to save options for the bigger cars or save it for a proper facelift update. I hate that too but this is one stunning looking Estate that does not look like you're a delivery driver for a pizza restaurant.

In the US the only current full-size wagon (estate) is the E Class. We don't get the C. We do get the 3 sportwagon from BMW, but not the 5. We don't get The A6 Avant, nor even the A4 avant, just the A4 Allroad. We haven't had the Volvo V70 for years, just the XC70. (You see where this is going?) We don't get the Mazda 6 estate nor the Ford Fusion (Mondeo) Estate, both of which look like nice cars. Wagons have fallen in popularity here, but there is now the recent V60 from Volvo, and we're to get the V90. On the plus side, for those who like a wagon, you don't have to look like everyone else in an SUV (and of course you can enjoy better handling.) On the downside, you may not find just what you want.
If you look at the presenters, that is probably why. They can all go where they desire because Carbuyer was never about good looking people reviewing cars and it never will be.

Better handling, better fuel economy, more space, more aerodynamic. SUV is for high driving position, ground clearance. If in doubt always get a wagon
