MJ's Ghosts MV is what you may be thinking of...
Yes she is the "Unknown Journalist"... at the beginning she gets picked up and dropped off to interview DQ… This is literally Interview with the Vampire: The Musical! (Part 1) (Anne Rice would be proud?) at the end she reads the article that she is supposed to write and she realises that she wasn’t dreaming… it really happened. Watch her face and the intake of breath and exhalation after she realises… what will she write…
I have been waiting for this for a long time. The SF (short film) is absolutely epic... and it's the cleverest thing I have ever seen Dimash do…
Incredible production value, incredible acting from the leads, so many call-backs to great moments in both cinema and music, set design, iconic images it’s just perfection.
And the song (R&B Power Rock ballad with a killer rock guitar solo, a singular tasteful high note, that dark tone and growl on "Man in a man's world") Wow... Just perfect…
But most important is that for said for 6 odd years we have been talking endlessly about Dimash's technical prowess, range, dynamics, control, transitions, jumps, staccati, melismas, we've been praising his prowess (rightly so) whilst bewailing the fact that he isn't more widely known.
But after watching reactions to this all night the absolutely amazing thing that I have seen is reactors NOT doing the usual but instead simply rocking on because that's the power of the "hook"
So I am donning a smile bigger than a Cheshire cat and thinking; well he's conquered Asia and Europe and now he's coming for the rest of the West and he's going to get it too. Coz he's armed with the right ammo now to hunt in these woods.

The recording of the 'Flower Duet' from Delibes 1883 opera 'Lakme' is from around 1915, sung by Maria Mikhailova (soprano) and Antonina Panina (mezzo soprano). The crackly sound of that 78 really creates the feeling that vampire Dimash has beeen around a long time to have that in his collection.

Я думаю, что Димаш с юмором снял фильм про свои отношения с dears😂.
С самого начала я вижу юмористическое отношение к себе как Вампиру - это и фон - вывеска SMALL (сеть гипермаркетов в Казахстане), и киношная машинка, и музыка в начале, и образы такие голливудские, и все клише применил, которые есть в американскихфильмах. И, конечно же, финал.
Димаш снял фильм про свои любовные отношения со зрителями

I love this MV; for this fascinating and dark music video...exciting, at some points even a bit scary, but well dosed, in kind of anxiously waiting, what might happen next? … and then again a romantic touch in the music… in any case mysterious...I think every rewatch will evoke a few more adjectives. There is still a lot to discover.
The song is my new favourite since I heard it from the Hong Kong concert … bt this sound quality is of course so much better.
And Dimash`s voice is super hot … his outfit and styling are burning-hot.
And his attitude and intense look is constantly changing me from cold to hot and vice versa…. definitely gets the blood boiling….(boiled blood … means a hot soup for a Di-macula … uhmm Dracula/vampire🧛😋😉).

„On February 26 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon.

I don’t think Dimash turned the girl into a vampire. He wanted to retain her purity. She keeps the white gown through all the video. She also keeps her business suit in the mirror at the end. I think Dimash did not want the woman he loves to be a damned vampire, who operates on lustful desires. Maybe Dimash is looking for the woman of his dreams, who can share his lonely life with him. Even surrounded by the vampire girls, he is lonely, and this human woman gets him closer to heaven. Dimash is a very religious person, and is probably looking for someone to share his dreams with. Someone who can handle the complicated life he lives, and is surrounded by “Vampires”, who take his time, and are intimidating. This girl is going to have to be very strong, in the midst of difficult circumstances! I wish him great happiness, contentment, and companionship!
