I strongly believe that natural beauty and aging gracefully, should be at the forefront of the beauty world. Society is so focused on not aging, to a fault. We're at a place where women in the age range of 40-60 have become undesirable by society. It is such a negative thing. We need to erase that and embrace the process of aging, naturally.
denise h. I totally agree with you, I’m 61 & proud off it. I must admit to being European in my style & knowing how to look after my skin is so important. I know of people who think a lot of makeup & sun makes them feel good & I’m sure it does, but it definitely doesn’t make them look fresh or younger! Sun is the enemy!

Agreed. I just commented on an insta post made by a surgeon who is about to do some work on a 51 year old who he says already looks stunning. I watched the video and it became abundantly clear to me that she had had a LOT of work done already. I was curious and asked if she had ever had any work done, and a long list of things she had indeed done. Natural beauty trumps all that in my opinion....sorry.

I know, isn't it sad that it seems strange to see lines on a celebrity. I sometimes google images women in their 50's and they're all enhanced with fillers botox. There is no true representation of a mature age women on the internet. Although I'm 53 and don't have those lines like Christie. Maybe she had filler and has stopped as I heard that happens.

Society is so hard on women when it comes to aging..especially other women. Glad to see she’s aging naturally & looks older yet still looks like her beautiful self.
Where do you get this? Society is not hard on anyone, it's women who want to be thought of as eternally beautiful and sexual. It's just not going to happen. At some point you need to move on.

BS. Women can be tough on other women, society at large has nothing to do with it. I've yet to come across any anti-aging rants by anybody in public or by individuals in real life. These kind of comments are full of empty air. Even commercials tend to be full of either fat or older people these days, they could be ripped straight from the street to be in front of the camera.

Yes she is aging and it shows she has wrinkles some discoloration on her cheeks and we can't see everything from so far but it's normal she is 50 not 20 anymore. And we know she was a model, she has had great skin and obviously takes care of herself. She is aging like any human being and she is aging naturally and beautifully!
She has plenty of.mkney for good skin care, facials , microblasis or whatever it is called . She can afford the best food and probably has minimal stress..
She's had lasers which get rid of spots, discoloration, redness, fine wrinkles and tightens.
I love being able to see these lines on her face, which are age appropriate and do not detract from her beauty, she looks amazing. We can all only aspire to this sort of grace.
No current under-40 model is more beautiful than Christy, Naomi, Cindy, Helen or Linda... Their generation produced beauty wonders.

@@sureyyaekinci4630 I was wondering about Cindy too. I think it's because she had her droopy eyelids fixed so she looks completely different now. A minor detail, but it changes her expression. Her eyes are more open but then again it makes her face look harsher. She also lost baby fat on her face, but still, I think the eyes are the main reason she looks like a different person. Also, it's her attitude, she doesn't have the sensuality of her younger years, she looks like she has no interest in looking sexy anymore.
She is gorgeous and a role model for women of all ages. I too refuse to do botox and fillers at 46. I have friends who are already doing it at 30 and it makes me sad. You can age gracefully and she is living proof.

I remember in my early twenties walking though SoHo one Sunday morning-she was the only other person around, each of us without a stitch of makeup, holding a to-go coffee and smoking a cigarette. She smiled and I smiled, and it was just two girls enjoying our separate mornings. A very humble and down to earth person.
Now I live on a quiet mountaintop and am learning about makeup again. 🤭 Thank you, Ms. Gucci Westman! I’ll look like a real doll next time I visit my family.
It may not be the case with Cristi, but when that say “work done”, many seem to not include Botox and fillers in that “work” and so they look amazing and don’t fess up about those types of interventions they have had done.

Right she began with the “right bone structure” ie. jaw, chin , & eyes set far enough apart therefore her facial muscles aren’t sagging in the wrong places.

If I were to get everything done it would not even compare to someone with natural right bone structure. I have a small recessed chin, zero cheek bones, weak jawline, and my eyes are hooded. I watch a documentary about supermodels and a very young Christy Turlington behaved as many privileged models do. Not aware of life kicking you down. But after the death of her father, it seemed to have shaken her to the reality of life and she seemed to have taken the right steps and stopped smoking and really taking care of her health and caring of women issues. I believe this is what saved her looks and herself as a person. She wasn't cruel, but if you live that fast life without getting in touch with your inner soul and humanity it starts to show on the surface. There are women in this world who aren't supermodels or famous, but are very at one with earth's spiritual guide and nature's healing property that you can't find in a bottle. These older women are gorgeous and radiant with such a kind spirit. It's nice to see Christy found this in her life which will pass on to her children.🙂💚👍

I have always thought Christy Turlington was not just beautiful. I always saw the intelligence, deep spirit and kindness in her expressions and the way she expressed herself. The one thing she did not mention but is critical about the death rate of mothers in the USA is that it has a racial component that is undeniable. Women of colour are dying at much higher rates than Caucasian women. That is not a coincidence!

I can’t speak for anyone else, and I’m a health care practitioner (I’m an anesthetist). I can promise you, “emergency preparedness“ is central to my practice. When I’m giving any anesthetic, I’m constantly looking for any clue that the course is veering off from the normal path. It’s constant evaluation and always thinking about plan B, C, and D and so on

I was a teen in the 90s and really admired the supermodels (they were the first and the only in my opinion). Not just for their beauty but the fact that they exuded elegance and showed professionalism that you don't see anymore. Christy especially is an inspiring woman. She now reminds me of the one time I saw a women in a mall (when I was a little girl) who was extremely tall with excellent bone structure but with lots of wrinkles on her face. I couldn't stop staring at her because she was so gorgeous in her imperfection and radiated a confidence that I hope to embody one day.
