Hollywood Sign Hike: Brush Canyon Trail to Bronson Caves & the Hollywood Sign

  • A hike to the Hollywood Sign is a must-do for many tourists visiting Los Angeles. I have hiked it many different ways, but the best way to hike it for views of the sign on the way up is the Brush Canyon Trail. This hike takes you past the Bronson Caves (which is where the batcave was filmed for the TV Batman show) and up to Mullholand Trail. The Mullholland Trail takes you to two great viewpoints for the sign before eventually connecting with the paved road you can walk to get to the back of the sign itself. Hopefully this video encouraged you to hike to the sign, just don't do it in the heat of the summer.

    Could not believe how many ways you can get to this sign. We went with a friend in Glendale and she took us from the carousel to the old zoo to Bee Rock and then I think on the North trail and then a really long way back. We must have batted 1.000 I guess because we had no haze that day. Fortunately for you, it looks like you are relatively local. Not that you're looking to watch a video of a hike you do all the time, but I made one. Be well and be safe. Love getting California ideas from your channel.

    Finally did this walk this week, after hiking Yosemite Falls and Nevada Falls, this felt somewhat a leisure stroll !!!! till the last bit getting up to the top. Also got to witness an idiot jumping the fence to have the police turn up instantly and the police helicopter come in. Lucky for the guy the police let him go, if he left the area straight away. Capped off an amazing weeks of hikes. Thanks for your videos

    I want to say after watching this video me and my wife and her friend took on this hike today. I think you undersold the last push to the top. It was the hardest because you are tired from the rest of the hike and it’s pretty steep. However just like the video stated it was worth the trip and a great workout.

    • @BradFresh21
      @BradFresh21 Před 2 lety +1

      @@tanvirkaisar7245 you want to search brush canyon trail. It will be on canyon Rd. You can park anywhere along canyon rd and there are 3 parking lots to chose from right before the start of the trail as well. And yes the trail is still open. If you are going to go all the way up to the sign plan to be there for 3-4 hours and bring plenty of water. I took 32oz and really needed 64oz. Try and go early for the most shade and coolest part of the day.

    I meet so many tourists everyday and it's all like they were given the same very short, uninspired list. Go look at a sign in Hollywood, take Instagram picture under the street lights at LACMA (but don't actually go in the museum and look at the art), etc. It's like everyone took off work, traveled around half way around the world, spent thousands of dollars and then after all that...gave themselves a another job - Take the exact same uninspired Instagram pictures as everyone else and then leave and go back home to work. --- LA is the creative capital of the entire World. Be creative here. Write your own story.
