I get the wood from a friend of mine and he told me that its oak. We are both not 100% sure its oak :) . Maby someone can tell us what it really is, if we are wrong.

A very nice bowl. What type of oak is it? It doesn’t have the grain pattern of most of the oak I’ve seen.

Well, there are several species of oak, but the ones I’ve seen tend to have a coarser grain. The wood of your bowl is smooth and beautiful.
