A Beautiful Yellow Wood Burl and Epoxy Resin Vase - Woodturning / Drechseln

In this video I turned an Vase out of a pretty yellow wood burl.
I don't know which kind of wood it is but together with the green epoxy resin
it looks great.

VERY nice!!! 👍👍 If I may suggest something, perhaps show all steps, like potting it into the resin. The sudden jump between bare wood and the wood coated with resin didn't make the video flow well. But, great job, it looks great!!! 👍👍

I've been wanting to turn a Burk epoxy project, I just haven't bought the vacuum chamber yet. I did buy a Carter multirest and simple wood turning tools hollowed though.

I know your location in 'about' says 'Austria'...but someone may have been visiting from Kentucky and had a twig or something in their suitcase. The yellow wood you are turning may be yellowwood or Cladrastis kentukea. 'Cladrastis' is from the Greek 'klados' and 'thraustos' which mean “branch” and “fragile” in (or brittle wood) and 'kentukea' means “of Kentucky.” Yellowwood is named for the bright yellow heartwood. Other names are American yellowwood and virgilia.
