      Well, they are one of the 4 newest teams in the league. Even the revamped Winnipeg Jets are technically older as Atlanta joined in 1999. Also considering you have 3 teams that are 100+ years old in the league (MTL, TOR, BOS), being less than a quarter century old makes them young in every sense of the number. 24 year old humans are considered young, so the same goes with sports teams that are the same age.

    They’ve been talking about new arena / renovating Ball Arena in Denver for years. They want to build a whole new sports complex with restaurants and apartments. Right now the Avs practice in a public athletic complex so they want a private practice rink right by Ball Arena. They are planning on closing Eltich Gardens and adding the practice complex for the Nuggets and Avs on the same property as a new arena last I heard. The current arena isn’t too bad but it could use a refresh for sure as it’s started showing its age the past few seasons. They definitely need to get their bathrooms figured out as you could be in line for the entire intermission because there’s not enough bathrooms for the capacity.

    • @retrowarehouse2554
      @retrowarehouse2554 Před měsícem

      I agree it's time for them to start thinking about getting a new arena for the Avs and Nuggets as I do like the plan of the sports complex with restaurants and apartments. It can probably coincide with the Denver Broncos new stadium in the future and build them both in the same area downtown. Coors Field is the only one that doesn't need a new ballpark for the Rockies.

    Yes a new arena is needed for the Panthers. But I still don't get why people that are not from South Florida decide that the location of it is "bad", with ZERO research or anything to back up what they say. What is the good location? South Beach? Hialeah? Mar-O-Lago? What outsiders don't understand is that the current arena is actually where the fanbase is, suburban families (western suburbs), and relocated northeasterners and Canadians (Broward County). They will not see better attendance if they went back to downtown Miami.

      @@spacemansports4129 I keep checking several NHL sources on attendance and all put Florida in the top 10 in attendance inthe league even with the 5th biggest seating. The Heat whose fans also get called out has sold out for 15 years and it's only one of 6 NBA arenas that sell out every game. The bottom line is there is a lot of South Florida hate from supposed better fanbases who don't even sell out their games. They talk about empty seats at Heat, Dolphin and Panthers games but yeah that's South Florida like LA there is a lot to do and many people with crazy amounts of money who have tickets but don't show up all the time.

    Teams in Washington DC have a huge problem locating land to build any stadiums or arenas. Heck, the Washington Commaders wanted to leave FedEx stadium in Maryland, and they finally got some potential offers to build a stadium in tge where the RFK memorial stadium once stood. That took years and it would probably make more sense for both the Capitals and Wizards to build a new stadium where the current on is located and rent places until the new one is complete.

    Winnipeg's arena only seats about 15k. The reason they chose to build to that capacity was because it was meant for the biggest hockey team in the city at the time (Manitoba Moose AHL). But Winnipeg was still open to getting the Jets back. 10k seats would be the right amount for a big AHL team and 18k-20k for an NHL team. So they settled in the middle at 15k lol

    3:41 um the United Center is fine dude for over 10 years. That’s an old picture too, they have LED Screens on the outside of the building now, and as someone who goes to the UC pretty regularly. The building is in phenomenal shape, they’re not going anywhere in 10 years. That building easily has another 75 years left in it if not more. Plus it’s the largest arena in the NHL

    Man he really rips the panthers so much, but I’ve been to their arena so much it really isn’t bad, they have done some minor renovations in the past few years, also the exterior has been fine, really only the top is ugly, and sorry the location isn’t in the exact middle of Miami, they built it their because it’s between the major highway between Ft. Lauderdale (also sold out the whole season this year)

  • @jasonschrantz342

    The reason ball arena in denver is 25 years old and not going anywhere is because kroenke owns the building, not the city so stan the man would have to pay for a new arena himself. Hard to believe stan kroenke bought the arena, the nuggets, and the avs for 800 million package deal. Granted it was 1999 but still a bargain.

    well the delta center supposed to built for only basketball. because back in 2002 olympics when they add an ice rink. they have to move the seats back and clover it up to look like a literal wall there. it is a ugly look. it is not built to put a ice rink in it. so i am so glad they will get a new arena. because fans and player can not want to look at a wall while playing here.

  • @ronarmstrong7907
    @ronarmstrong7907 Před 28 dny

    The problem in Winnipeg is the cost of the tickets to watch the Jets. It's an Issue in every Canadian NHL City. Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal all have a solid season tickets Holders base who have the money to buy the tickets. Those platinum seats at Scotia Bank arena for a Premium priced game run over 800.00 per seat. not to mention the fact that when that arena was built seat owners paid 25K per seat for a license fee. Not much lower in all of the other Canadian cities either. Ottawa and Winnipeg have an attendance problem. The tickets are too cost restrictive for an average fan to go to a game. Don't get me started about the concession prices. Quebec City has a new arena sitting there ready but they may not get a team again. The fan base is small but loyal, but now the ticket prices won't fly. Gary Bettman would be stupid enough to give Atlanta another chance at Disaster. I don't think a team in Salt Lake City is going to fly either. Hamilton. Not a Chance. There is the fact also that the taxpayers don't want to fund Billionaire Owners New Stadiums. You have the money to own a team. Pay for the Fucking Building yourselves or Move to somewhere stupid enough to make you richer.
