I have never ever wanted to visit India under no circumstance. To be honest, I'm a little suspect of non-Western countries.
I hope that includes Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Australia & NZ. Those non western countries are first world standard of living.

I've worked in a US Kitchen.
People still go elbow deep into bowls of food in the US.
The Difference is... US has strict Wash up to your elbows, have pest control, hair nets and air conditioning rules so you don't have dirty sweaty arms in the food.
Edit: Still though if you saw someone making a bowl of 'creme' you wouldn't eat the creme filled desserts. it's a block of shortening mixed with water sugar and fake vanilla. If you didn't scrape the bowl with your arm there would be streaks of crisco in your creme filled donut or Bismark. The arm in the creme is the least disgusting part of the recipe cause like I said... hand washing stations.

I periodically check my county’s health code violations for restaurants/food trucks. They are posted in the local news along with the recent arrests/ mug shots. I live in Brevard county Florida. I know where not to eat and where to stay clear of. Freedom means the public has access to government information. Shout out to Sheriff Ivey, because since he was elected our crime rate has gone down. That’s posted too.

I live and I am from Indianapolis Indiana. About a year ago a chicken and steak and fish Indian. Arab that closed down. The customers got to take video of the kitchen it was so nasty they were preparing the food on the floor even the rats were just standing around looking. The rats with not even afraid of the people. in a Black neighborhood. And that restaurant in there for years. It kind of hurt all of their business. They end up getting closed down. But when I say this place is nasty. It was funny because the rat just stood there looking. He was not even afraid of the people. 🤔😏🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️😷🤢🤮👹🤡

I take chances when I decide to eat out here where I live in Cali. But at least here, if I get sick while eating out and the restaurant is at fault, there is some kind of recompense from it. I'm not taking my chances im another country.
I did a couple years in Pest Control. I have to laugh when I see a Resturant of the Month/Year, or a place listed as a Hometown Fav. When I've been there at off times for treatments... I'll leave it at that. Also, back in the Navy, good to have a friend working on the Mess Decks! nice to know when not to eat what.

I love american Indian food, but absolutely fucking not. I will NEVER eat food in India. It sucks cause I really want to visit south India and see what some of the culture is like, but I could not live and eat there. no way

Have to ask food truck chefs in america to wash, change gloves or sanitize their hands. Food safety licences? Food safety procedures followed? Question American runned food truck cooks also. They have no access to a bathrooms nor running water.

I check my county’s local news, for the recent Health Code violations for restaurants and food trucks. It also lists when they have been corrected. I live in Florida. I have seen the posted video of the restaurants in China, showing a kitchen worker washing vegetables and meat in the restroom toilet. Don’t eat there either!
Some of them are ok but when the ratio of hands to spoons is like 15:1 its terrifying and ruins the desire to have anyone else prepare my food.
