  • We're seasonal workers currently working in Vermont at a resort called Basin Harbor, and this is what our housing looks like. We wanted to make a video for others curious about seasonal jobs, so you can see what typical housing looks like when your employer provides it.

Make sure to ask about your uniform before you get there, in case you need to bring specific things. We always ask about the food situation, someplace provide food others don't you might need to be prepared to go to the grocery store regularly. if you don't have a car ask about transportation to town if you need it. We always ask about employee perks//work-life balance/ days off (will you get two consecutive days). Take anything that will keep you comfortable, but try to avoid overpacking especially if you're going to have a roommate. Pack things for your favorite hobbies. Have fun don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and say yes when people ask you to do fun stuff!

@@catchyoudownthetrail3881 first of all .. thank you for replying and the great advice 🥰
I’ll be working as a reservations agent at a ski resort in Colorado, it’ll be a call center setting so I doubt that I’ll be wearing a uniform. Transportation is available there, so I wasn’t planning on taking my car(mainly because I’m scared to drive in the snow), but considering driving up there (from Florida)that way I have my car just in case. I’ve never had to live with a roommate, so that’s definitely one of the scariest aspects for me, but I’m ready for this adventure.

@@amaalalamri953 yeah it might not hurt to ask about transportation. Especially if your living where your working. We always like to get off property and explore the area we're in so a car is a major benefit to us, but a lot of people in this lifestyle don't have one and make it work! Good luck this winter hope you enjoy it!!

      Hey Jessica,
The pay for seasonal jobs are gonna vary depending on location and job. Typically you get between 12-20 an hour and usually the cost of housing is more with jobs with a higher base pay so it somewhat balances out. If you're questioning the pay just shoot the HR director an email asking before you apply.
