Absolutely stunning work particularly that sky Charlie. Truly mesmerising how skilfully you produce such a masterpiece so naturally and making it look all so easy! Once again, I’ve learned so much from your clear and humorous explanation from start to finish from brush strokes to colour mixing. I now feel confident to have a go and put what I’ve taken onboard onto paper and I’m particularly looking forward to the bish, bash, bosh bit! Thank you. Paul, Andalucía.

Hi Charles hope you and Gail are both well, I took a break today from painting and saw my wife watching Classic Emmerdale ( aaargh) and guess what, you were on, or rather Nathan Summers, now I have seen you paint a number of versions of this all around the country but this is the first time I have seen the original, WoW, What an absolutely fantastic painting, all of your work is superb but this one is my all time favourite, it’s beautiful.
Stay safe hope to see you demonstrating at Ilkley.

Thank you, Charles.

Charles, I’m trying to follow along but my colors are never as thick as yours. I’m using a Winsor & Newton pan palette. Do I need to switch to tubes to achieve thicker consistency? To get the color out of the pan I need to use water... and so I get watery colors. This makes it especially hard to stipple the grass. Is there a secret to using pan paint that I don’t know?

    • @charlesevans7706
